Interesting how despite being produced as part of the Season 6 production cycle, the alternate scene has the color palette match the one from Seasons 1 to 3, since Season 6 introduced a new color palette for the show. (Contrary to popular belief, the show used digital coloring and compositing from the start, but they did change the computer system and software a few times.)

Most likely, the voice actor only ever recorded this gasp once; the show just reused it over and over. This is common practice for trademark screams, gasps etc. in animation, because it preserves the actors' vocal cords. Note how Arthur's gasp sounds exactly the same every time.
