Fishing boat at sea near Texel, The Netherlands
I went on a trip to Texel in March 2022. Texel is the largest of the Frisian Islands (also known as Wadden Islands) which stretch from The Netherlands through Germany to Denmark.
During the late afternoon I did see some fishing boats operating near the coast line. Combined with the sunset above the North Sea this gave some really nice drone shots

DJI Mavic Air maiden flight from apartment - Ede, The Netherlands

DJI Mavic Air crash recovery in 80 seconds (front right arm broken)
มุมมอง 4.9K6 ปีที่แล้ว
I crashed my drone by flying it from the top down into a 160 meter tall chimney with a diameter of approximately 15 meter. "What could possibly go wrong?", you might think :) It's just a matter of going straight down and then up again. It all started within the first 10 meters below the top: the Mavic Air lost it's GPS signal, the vision systems where disabled and then it suddenly hit the wall ...

So what was the point of this video? Couldn’t even show the hole repair job.
A distinctive creator, I need you to provide me with the link of the piece so that I can buy it because I have the same problem
There are a lot of webshops that sell replacement parts for the Mavic drone. I ordered mine at droneshop.nl but you can also find it here: www.dronefly.com/dji-mavic-air-motor-arm-right-front-black.html. They have also different colors.
One can get new parts from AliExpress.com from dji grand store. Look what I found on AliExpress s.aliexpress.com/aMjEvu6f Look what I found on AliExpress s.aliexpress.com/V3MzEzuQ
Hi. I have one question. is there possible to replace just : mavicpilots.com/threads/mavic-air-front-leg-crash-damage.41630/#lg=post-480810&slide=0 Front right leg is intact but the plastic component that holds it to the arm is cracked. The leg no longer snaps into place when extended and wobbles. TNX
A repair in 80 seconds is a joke. It will take maybe 80 Minutes and is much more complicated than shown in this brief video. Actually watching this video is just a waste of time.
Why on Earth did you bother to post this?
Hello, I have the same problem with my Mavic air, how difficult is the fix to replace the arm? I think for me the soldering is a problem because I cannot do it. Do you need to unsolder the wires to release the arm?
Yes, you do need to do some soldering on the wires. It’s pretty easy to do so even if you're inexperienced.
@@dirkjanmeijer so Inna nutshell, you remove the top of the drone, unsolder the wires, pop off the motor arm that's snapped, then feed new motor wires through solder them back to the metal and close up??
That's the really short version, but yes :) There are quite a few layers you have to remove before you reach the point where you can replace the arm, also depending on whether it is and front or rear arm. For full details, have a look at this video: th-cam.com/video/ydabCZ4bUd4/w-d-xo.html I used it for all the specific details.
These things break like an egg. I'm sorry I ever waisted the money on this piece of shit.
Gee thanks for no information at all. I mean why bother taking the video?
This is all I needed to realize I am not doing it lol
you skipped the most important part regarding the wire of the arm ... this video is useless it need one hour minimium and you didnt explaing 80 percent of the process
Hi Sameh. This video was meant as a quick update on the solidity of the Mavic drone. For full repair details there are other good video's, see for example this one by CopterTec: th-cam.com/video/ydabCZ4bUd4/w-d-xo.html
It doesnt say tutorial does it? Learn to read.
I just crashed mine this morning and the rear right arm is broken. Can you help by telling me where you purchased your replacement part(s)? Thanks. I agree with you the drone is pretty tough. I slammed into a side of a (hard) dirt mount flying sport mode. Given the impact, I'm happy only the arm is damaged. I'm glad you were able to fix yours!
jonathsk I am not sure were he got his but I got one on order on amazon
@@moneyprinter7696 Thanks. I actually found and ordered one from cloud city drones. However, after receiving the part I realized there's actually a little more damage at the joint where it swivels. The replacement arm does not come with another joint swivel....any idea where I can get that part??
I bought my replacement arm at the Dutch website droneshop.nl. There are other alternatives but when I needed the new parts they where the quickest on delivery (I live in The Netherlands).
Ja laat die reacties maar komen :P
