Decked out in stainless steel and scratch-resistant mineral crystal, the MBW-100 has an OLED display that shows caller ID and incoming text messages. It will let you switch calls to voice mail, reject and mute calls, and even control your phone's music player (play, pause, and next track). @SonySAB

Does this old Xperia phone have a code name?
Yes, it was Smultron Model ST15i
@ Where do you usually find the codes for every model?
Do every Sony Ericsson phones have codenames?
Yes, Code names helped maintain confidentiality and prevent leaks during the development phase. By using internal project names, the company could work on a device without revealing the actual model name or specifications to the public, competitors, or the press. Sony Ericsson was a joint venture between Sony and Ericsson, and each company had its own internal culture and naming practices. Sony, for example, often named products after animals or abstract concepts. Ericsson might have leaned toward geographical or technical names. This blending of cultures may have influenced their code naming process, mixing themes like animals with technical terms or places.
@SEMCGuru Oh, that make sense. Good point 👍
Thx for the upload. I'm considering this phone or the new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Pro. This video helped me a lot.
Amazing very clean and the old future
Why is 1-6-1980😮😮
On January 6, 1980, a significant milestone in technology occurred: Global Positioning System (GPS) Time Epoch Begins: At 00:00 UTC on this date, the GPS time epoch officially commenced, marking the beginning of a new era in satellite-based navigation and timing systems. This development has since revolutionized global positioning, navigation, and timing across various industries. TAKE ME BACK The GPS system uses a timekeeping method that started counting weeks from this date. Notably, the initial week "0" began on January 6, 1980.
so cool😊
Hi! Do you happen to have Discord?
Sorry I don't
@ do you have any other socials? I’d like to ask you a few questions about the Twiggy.
@@guramovich No, I'm sorry I don't have any others.
@SEMCGuru ah, that’s unfortunate. Well, guess I will ask here. Could you please dump the firmware off of this prototype and the T650 Sania? if you don’t know how to do it, I can help you with that. Thanks in advance, appreciate it.
@@guramovich Unfortunately I no longer have a PC and XS++ and SEtool2 doesn't run on MAC's

@@SEMCGuru Ah

Xperia pro (Japan made).
This device was manufactured at Foxconn in Longhua Shenzhen China. Some Xperia models specifically designed for the Japanese market, such as those sold through Japanese carriers like NTT DoCoMo, were manufactured domestically. Example: Xperia A SO-04E, Xperia Z1 f SO-02F, and other carrier-specific models. The reason why Sony Mobile did not manufacture in Japan: Cost Efficiency: Manufacturing in China and other countries was more cost-effective for large-scale production. Focus on Design and Innovation: Sony Mobile concentrated on R&D and design in Japan, outsourcing mass production elsewhere.
The lcd screen is yellowish due to worn out pixels from the screen.
I'm not disagreeing however this device that I'm showing is a new unit meaning it doesn't have any call time used so could be an early hardware defect.
I can’t believe that there’s the Sony Ericsson name on the 2012 Xperia model 😮.
Yeah, Joint Venture ended in Oct 2011 but I guess they still had alot of parts branded with both.
Their true Walkman beast!
First!
You are correct! Thanks for the correction.

You are a terrible tech reviewer💀
Thank you! That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said. BTW I've never posted anywhere that I'm a tech reviewer. I'm an Sony enthusiast admiring some of their old and new products that's all!
bhai kahan se mila mujhe v lena hai...?
When you are creating AI videos, please at least make sure the information is correct. Most of whats in this video is wrong. Sony had nothing to do with Simbian. The clips are wrong. You are misplacing information everywhere.
Respectfully which other part of the clip is wrong? Symbian operating system was used in Sony Ericsson Devices so when you say they had nothing to do with Symbian is completely incorrect. They held onto using that OS instead of moving to Android.
2000 года это было круто. Хороший телефон
That’s a proto model accordingly from the SE123.
You are correct
It looks like a proto model.
