You asked why the SR80 makes more noise than the SR85, the reason is the SR80 being a V style hull isnt very stiff on the bottom of the hull. So noise resonates (hull bottom flexes more) a lot more then on the SR85 cat hull, The bottom of the SR85 is very stiff due to the multipull changes in the shape of the hull. Making it stiff.

The metal parts on back of the SR80 are called trim tabs & turn fins, these things are not used or nessessary on the SR85. Due to the SR85 being a catarmaran hull. Cat hulls turn flat, V hulls bank over on turns like the SR80 so turn fins are needed. Also I explained on you other SR85 video what the square holes were for.

The reason for the holes in the deck is to let air out of the flood chamber when it fills with water. If you only have the holes at the rear of the hull, when it starts filling the flood chamber with water. Air is trapped inside the chamber, this stops the chamber from fully being filled with water, due to a trapped air lock in the chamber. With holes at the front of the chamber, this allows water to flow into the chamber at the same time as the water pushing the air out of the front holes. Its all cleaver stuff lol.

You have assembled the stand correctly, but you need to push the slots together a lot further untill they wont go together any more. Unlike the SR80 which has 2 versions, standard SR80 & SR80 Pro. There is only 1 version of the SR85, this would be an SR85 Pro really. As it uses all the same parts as the SR80 Pro, ie same motor, same metal hardware, thicker/stronger 4mm flex shaft & metal propeller. Also dont forget to tighten up the collet well, as the factorys have a habit of not fully tightening collets onto the flex shaft. Only to find on the first run you loose the flex shaft/bearings/ propeller to the bottom of the lake. Obviously grease the flex shaft as well.

Awesome glad to see you got it going. Yes your drain plug hanging out.Been there done that to😂. I get water up the stuffing tube on mine so i keep it well greased. Run mine on 6s stock set up with a cnc 44mm 1.4 pitch it's a beast. Prop also fantastic on 4s nothing heats up to . Enjoy the boat.👍

Another area water gets in is around the hatch, standard procedure for fast electric boats is to simply tape all the way around the hatch. You can use either specific waterproof clear roll of tape, or you can get away with using pvc electrical tape. Tapeing hatches is a pain in the arse, but it is the only way to stop water entering through the hatch. As you have to tape the hatch every time you remove the hatch, thats just the way it is with fast electic boats. Water & electronics dont mix well together in boats, even more so for those that have to run on salt water or dirty brackish water.

It looks like you have the rubber drain plug hanging out on the rear of the boat, this is where water is probably getting in. You need to push the rubber drain plug fully into the drain hole, just a heads up man you need to switch the transmitter on first, then switch the boat or car on second. Turning off, switch off the boat or car first. Then the transmitter last.

What tires do you use? man my 1/10 absima touring car destroys tires every 4 batteries. Comparing to my 1/16 hbx where tires last forever even on 3s. And yes, the absima runs only on 2s brushless now but even on the 540 brushed it destroyed tires. And because of that the steering becomes twitchy and very hard to keep it in a straight line.
