Nobody joins the Prussian army. They all volunteer. 😉
In Boy Scouts in 1975, I learned to play 14 bugle calls to earn the Bugling merit badge and became my Troop's first bugler. I used the bugle Grandpa gave me as a present when I joined the Boy Scouts in 1974. He had it from his Minnesota State Guard days in WW2 and he put dad and dad's older brother through Boy Scouts. Grandpa passed in 1975, dad at the end of 2023 and his older brother Thanksgiving of the same year. I became an Eagle Scout in 1981, and to this day I still play my bugle and 16 calls. Bugling is practiced only on the military and in Scouts. It is a beautiful and fading art and tradition that I am proud to pass on so others can make a bugle sing.

Thank you!! Just witnessed the most wonderful live performance of men in historic uniform playing drum and pfife. What a blessing it was. I could have stayed for hours. Check out the Confederate History Museum if you're ever in the area. The sound is so much more epic and full in person. Fantasic recording though. Super great quality. Thanks!
