thanks for vid. Did you use a pusher prop? or can you take a standard prop and run motor in reverse? flip prop around?
@@Raven_of_Doom drone prop
@@EP50009 Mmmm, I think they push, thanks
Motor and esc setup? is it for sale??
Tks for the class on my way to build mine for my recovery boat miss geico 36 v twin.
😁😁✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️👍
🎉 cool 😎
I was there too
Wondering if I can attach that to the back of a 6 ft kayak, would need more power maybe? Only need it to go 2.5-3 mph though.
would need lot more power, a trolling motor would work way better
I would cover the battery and electronics but other than that nice build.
everything is waterproof so no need
Awesome 🤙🏼 what gizmo motor is that if i may ask. Im trying to decide between the 29.5 pro mod or the 30 plus
Peut on le programmer le bxr ?
Awesome 😎
Show us the internals pls ! And how did you manage to keep the boat on the water ? ! Good job sir.
I think this would more in line with our needs, what do you think?
Cool design. My rescue boat which is built onto a set of fiberglass floats, originally had a motor from a Turbo timber using a 3 bladed 11-7 prop mounted on a very large powerful sail servo. Mine also had a 50A reversing ESC and I used a 2S 5000 mah lipo which was more than powerful enough. HOWEVER...sometimes it happen that as you are pushing the disabled plane back, a gust of wind may blow through that causes the plane to slip or rotate far enough for your open prop to easily damage the plane. This has happened to me once and luckily did very minor damage to the plane's wing. As a result, I replaced the motor/prop setup with a Freewing 90mm EDF, still mounted on the sail servo. The one BIG downside is the the EDF's 12 bladed fan has VERY poor reverse power compared to the standard prop. Forward power and speed is awesome on my 4S 5000 mah lipo. I am using a reversing fan cooled 120A ESC on the 90mm.
To rescue who for what ? I'm thinking eg. Yuneec Typhoon H series with lift capabilities of say 2lbs (maybe) able to carry one or two life jackets to a couple in the middle of the lake. I just saw a video of a 50+ yr old boater in the gulf sank, and he clung to a floating buoy till next day. The US Coast Guard shows up and being all over the Drone era they send a long range drone to inspect the buoy... he was very grateful. Re-inventing the wheel is ok, as long as you don't chop off your fingers in the process.
do you look at my channel... its rc boats... to rescue rc boats.

What brand radio can go past 100 percent, maybe a cheaper radio with a receiver?, did receiver get put inside a balloon for waterproofing? 😆
What brand of transmitter and receiver goes 150 percent? For the turning purpose?
Thanks for answering my questions,I'll just ask Iron Clad,he will help.
Hello. I believe I ordered the same motor and esc as yours but the motor has a 3.5mm male plug and the esc has a 6.0mm female connector. I can’t seem to find an adapter for them. What did you use and could you provide a link please? Thanks
if thats the case I just solder on new connectors
Thank you. That is what I did.@@EP50009
You picked a great place to run it. People wanting self righting capability when I figure the boat will mostly be in waters you could walk to it. Walk in ankle deep water and flip it back over. It isn't fast enough to blow over on big waters like a Traxxas Spartan.
its extremely hard to flip, but yes I will only run it in knee deep or less water.
Love the graphics, you must be the first qmd just glad you didn't use same yellow tp plan to if we ever get them in the uk, cool looking bboat
How many inches of pvc do you have going up from the 45 degree that you mount the motor on? Thanks.
about 4 inches
Hello, and great vid. How did you make the front of your pvc angle up? Thanks.
I’m just about ready to build this rig but I have just one more question please. I noticed in other rescue boat videos, the builders encased their ESCs in inner tubes pieces to water proof them and but their receiver, battery and connectors in a Tupperware container. Why did you not do anything like that on your rig? Do you think it’s a good idea to do that? Thanks
ESC is waterproof, so is everything else. Battery can always get wet, they are air tight for a reason.
@@EP50009 OK. Thank you
I'm building one right now. Thanks!
Awesome!
Hi how did u connect the esc plugs to the motor plugs.
regular motor connectors
Hello. Great video and great idea. I plan on building one. How did you attach the prop to the motor? I see some nuts in bolts in the video. Did you have to buy those separately? Also, did you screw that helicopter tray for the battery on the PVC pipe or did you just zip tie it? Thanks.
The hardware comes with the motor.
Hey... what is the setup
COOL, what Motor, Prop, and ESC did you use?
I have another video explaining the stuff i used
Thanks for the ideas, I made a boat very similar and it works well
Nice work, what kind of 11X5 propeller are you using CCW/CW ?
counter I think, but when you buy drone props, they come in both direction
Nice job, what kind of motor and propeller are you using CCW/CW ?
CCW opposite of the prop nut
did you have to drill the servo bracket to mount the motor or was it already drilled?
you will have to drill one more hole
@@EP50009 appreciate the fast reply
Question, does the prop fit the prop adapter for the flashhobby motor or did you have to make any modifications to the shaft diameter?
no you will just need to drill the prop center, its easy and does not need much precision
@@EP50009 ok understood thank you, it's been difficult to find props to fit the adapter that comes with that motor.
What an awesome idea! Simple and functional. 👍 Was the motor height a result of experimentation or was that the height required for the prop size?
a bit of both, my friends and i ran multiple sizes of props and ended up with the bigger drone props cause of how much thrust can be had for lower rpms. the height is for the water splashing also.
He copied it from me.
I invented this 5 years ago. But mines fpv goo look at my shorts. I used to makw and sell the motor mounts for this project..
@nowwattfpv3300 lol i have 7 year old video of this design buddy on my other channel, go kick rocks.

How do you get the creep body to clear the esc and receiver box? doesn't look like you just pull the sides over it.
dont run a box
Nice review
Very dope
Fantastic build, everyonr should have a resque craft like this!
absolutely
Most definitely a a great rescue rig from the way it handles..no added bulk or weight. not sure it can handle choppy water though... flipping it would not be good..thanks for explaining.
its way wider than any boat you would be rescuing, why would it be unstable?
@@EP50009 never said it was...wind and waves could cause issues...
@roadstar499 you said, choppy water.
thanks for the video! Im a total newbie. I know NOTHING. I found the prop, the motor, the servo, and the flyway 150 "thing". I am having trouble selecting a RC Radi controller that will "crank 150" side to side. Can you suggest a link? Also a battery link would be great. Sorry for being ignorant to this, trying to learn. thanks!
any remote that can set endpoints, such as a spektrum dx5 rugged, noble nb4, ones that usually have a screen will have it. I use a 5000mah 4s battery fr amazon with a xt90 plug, which should be the plug for the 150a esc
@@EP50009 thank you so much. I notice those controllers are $250 or so. None of the cheaper ones in the $80 range will work ok for this? Trying to make this on a budget as I will only use this for a specific situation and have no plans on using the controller for any other RC vehicle as I dont have any.

too bad it doesn't work or else i'm sure you would have actually shown it rescuing a boat. i do like the idea a lot!
absolutely wrong, better check my videos
@@EP50009 ok i will check them. i was just kidding because you didn't show it with a boat rescue. i like that it is air and self propelled. can't get anything tangled up or else we have to rescue the rescue :)
Bonjour très belle réalisation PS je voudrais bien savoir la référence ou la marque de votre hélice merci Cordialement Mr Michel
Hello, Master Airscrew drone
looks great but is it powerful enough to rescue a sailboat such as a DF 95?
it can pull in completely flooded 50+ gassers
Hi Ethan I'm have trouble finding the right prop online 11x5 thrust could you point in right direction please.
on amazon theres master airscrew 13 inch multi rotor props that fit, youll have to drill out the center to fit
I want to build one for sailboats. Wondering if I could dual motor / prop it?
You risk more points of failure
Great Job
Can I use a rc car esc the 3s blx100 is 100a
yes any bigger esc
Nice work, what type of servo are you using?
They are labeled "robot servo arm" on amazon
What diameter pvc did you use? 1/2 seems a bit too flimsy. I say maybe 3/4 or 1"?
its 1/2
It would be cool to see this with a 90mm EDF. Much safer too.
