Asbo cars and martial arts

I love all kinds of cars especially 1980's classics such as the RS Turbo's, Astra GTE'S, Renault 5 GT Turbos', Uno Turbos' and even the more modern cars such as the e46 M3's and going on up to Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione and the Hyundai 130N .
I have a small collection of these types of cars that I like to tinker about with and sometimes put on my channel.
I also love all forms of combat sports and I have won various titles, trophies and medals in Boxing, Kickboxing and Taekwondo and hold a level 4 in personal training. I also have a 2nd dan black belt in San Shou (Chinese boxing) a black belt in WRSA freestyle kickboxing as well as grading in other forms of martial arts (karate, taekwondo ect). I have also trained fighters to a good competition level with them also gaining titles.
I have another channel called Craig Asbo PT which is usually showing some of my fights, training and sparring. And Marie Susan my wife's channel.

I had one of these and it DID have a belt drive unliken this conversion. It was prone to stalling in bad weather though and I soon changed it to a Kawasaki GT550(blue)
When I had my Astra GTE 16v I used to do 130mph pretty much daily over the 3 or 4 years I owned it. What an incredible engine, I had the initial Coscast head version with 156bhp. Loved that car!
love these mk1 astra gte's,i had two a red one and black one,still looks great,👍👍👍
Had two new Kadett GSI's back in de days. The first one was a 1800, and the next one a 2 litre 16V. I loved that dash. The 16V did 7000 rpm in fifth gear, at 238 km/h on the speedometer.
That's the same as me! The first GTE I owned was a 1985 1.8 and then I got a 1989 GTE 16 valve (bought around 1997 with around 70,000 miles) Performance was on a whole other level, the 16v felt similar low down but as the revs climbed the 16v was way, way quicker. The 1.8 had decent torque and I raced a friend in a 2.0 8v and flat out they were about the same, but the 2.0 had a lot more low down torque. I think the 1.8 revved better than the 2.0 8v. I still miss my GTE 16 valve, I had some great memories in that car and that engine must be one of the greatest 16 valve engines of all time!

Awesome motor i love to buy another mk1 astra gte.
I know it's obviously alot easier to say than do but everybody is going to say get it road legal. The Mk1 GTE in black was the second car I ever owned for four years in the early 90s as a daily driver, loved every mile of it. Hope it means you are doing this car first if it's the easiest to get out of the lock-up. Don't let it be out of sight out of mind and good luck with the projects
