Mercedes W203 stepper motor lever repair: clicking sound dashboard
This video illustrates 2004 Mercedes Benz W203 HVAC very common problem with stepper-motor arm linkage broken and the typical clicking noise under the dash. Approx 1 minute long the stepper-motor tries to adjust his position which is not possible because the arm is broken.
You will have perhaps seen many video's already on how to replace the broken lever-arm with a new one: but my attempt is just to repair the broken one.
I do not want to wait to order a new piece: I am just going to repair the broken one, so I will be able to drive the car again!
Thanks for watching!

Delonghi Magnifica S ECAM problem: leaking water in drip tray instead of making coffee

The coffee machine is leaking water directly into the drip tray, instead of making coffee. Many video's on youtube show that you have to replace the big orange o-ring in the brew-unit. I replaced those: but did not solve my problem. Then I later found out that the problem is caused by a small leaking o-ring. Great instructional guide!! I do this for a living and you pretty much have it covered ..... have you noticed that the injector nozzle burns to a taper? And that the gap between the nozzle and washer face on the nut elongates so a new washer will not always be small enough to centralise on the injector - also a blow ridge on the injector is quite common.... keep up the good work!!!!

    Ok, managed to get the old seal out but had to use a small swiss army knife blade as I had no hook, after a bit of faff I got the new o ring on, no silicon grease. Pop it all back together and, it still leaks water :( Should I have used silicon grease? Have I managed to damage the new O ring? Did I damage the plastic spindle getting the old O ring out? Or is it something different? Water is squirting out from the bottom of the white plastic part that pulls out, the part with all the O rings.

    • @laurensw2036
      @laurensw2036 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      if the water is ''squirting out from the bottom of the white plastic part that pulls out, the part with all the o-rings'': then it seems to me you should check again all these other o-rings on this ''white plastic part''. There must be some o-ring leaking there as otherwise that water would not come out there. I must say it is difficult to judge for me, without seeing it, but if water comes underneath that white plastic part then some of these o-rings could be leaking. I recommend you check again all these o-rings and no abnormalities. The small o-ring that I was originally talking about in my video does not make it leak so clearly underneath the white plastic part as you are mentioning, so I think you just check these o-rings again, and hopefully you can find the cause. Succes!

      Hi, I was just wondering what the symptoms your machine had prior to this repair were. My machine is having its water tray fill up quickly, some water leaks onto the worktop even if the tray isn't full (because of the tray's poor design). I've opened the machine and there is a deposit of limescale near the drainage hole on the left of the machine and no signs of leakage anywhere else in the machine. It still works, including making coffee and using the steam wand. Are these symptoms similar to what your machine had? Did you buy the 3,85 x 2 part number 5313217701 O-ring?

Therefore I used Molycote high temperature grease. Perhaps you could use some cupper-grease because such cupper-grease is also used for high temperature use. Hello Endrit, yes I did have the diesel-smell inside the car. But I did not notice any starting problems. You should just check if there is black sludge around the injectors: it is easy to see as the only thing you need to do is to pull of the black engine cover and you can see the injectors. Hello, you need an M6 tap, something like this: www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-M6-thread-cutting-tool.html?spm=2114.search0104.0.0.ijAuau&initiative_id=SB_20171209024038&site=glo&groupsort=1&SortType=price_asc&g=y&SearchText=M6+thread+cutting+tool With this you can make sure the thread is clean all up to the bottom of the hole, so that the bolt can be thightened enough. As you know: if the thread is not cleaned untill the bottom, then the new bolt willl probably hit onto the dirt in the bottom of the threaded hole: you would think you tightened it: but it will be hitting on the dirt on the bottom of the hole.

      Thanks again! I was fairly certain, but not 100%. I haven't started the job yet, but I'm getting the tools needed : )
