@TechSmith Support - How do you remove the thumbnails in the Table of Contents? The thumbnails weren't included on older installations of *Camtasia* so I think it's imperative that this feature be added back in if there is no way to remove them.

How do you create the call out with the arrow - or are those two separate objects - a call out with an arrow added?

Even with a maxed out Mac computer when I record videos in Camtasia the video sometimes comes out of sync with the audio. It's crazy this is still happening with Camtasia in 2024. I contact tech support every time but the answer is just the same: try re-installing Camtasia. Camtasia will never be the professional video editing software that it wants to be with these issues and it's frustrating as a Camtasia user. The issue is so bad that I can't believe they posted this video to their official TH-cam channel. The problem is sometimes you cannot even fix it like this video suggests, everything is lined up perfectly in the timeline but when you export it there is a delay in the audio and video of tracks that were recorded AT THE SAME TIME (not separate audio/video tracks).

Snagit needs to add a search utility to search by file type - Snagit 2024 now has the ability to convert to webp format which is valuable to web developers. The library needs to be modified to search for various formats / dimensions of the same image. Perhaps Techsmith can create a Snagit Wordpress plugin. Most current WordPress image optimizers charge by each image, which is an irritation for me.

I use it too. Jagged edge is great for removing parts of an old document you don't need. With that edge, it's obvious you are displaying a portion of the image. Then I use the straight edge to reduce the blank area between the jagged edges.

A feature I use every day: I use the cutout often (not jagged) to help reduce size of the document. Love it!

How do you grab tracks when they are really thin, without having to zoom in on them? The move tool always wants to extend the edges, but won't let me grab and move short tracks. -Thanks!

I agree with Beverly's comment. The music was very loud and thumping, essentially at the same volume as Casey's narration. I could barely pay attention because it was so annoying. Good info from Casey, but please ditch the soundtrack.

One step closer! Thanks for the video. I tried it and It closes the recording bar, but not the preview window. I have been struggling with this for a few years (it feels like longer than that). I have contacted support, they said I can just minimize the webpage so the preview window is not in the way, but I really need to record the regular screen size. This has to bother so many people. Are they going to fix it? I doubt people want the preview on their screenshot.

The video was excellent and a good reminder of another way to use snagit, which I forgot about.

Please don't have any music with your explanations. I literally could not hear or focus on the instructions because the music was so distracting!!

Does closed captioning on a macOS still work this way in Camtasia 2024? I need to export to Audiate? From the tutorials, it looks that way since I only see directions for Windows? Thanks.

Why is the video quality so poor?

Unbelievable. This is supposed to be a "tutorial", it is inside the "tutorial library" of Camtasia after I logged in. But... it is just yet another sales video. What can you do with Camtasia? Yes, this and this and this... But HOW? No one knows. I have heard hundreds of complaints about Camtasia on my online course hosting platform, and did buy it. Silly me... Will add myself to this group and tell no one to buy it. Hundreds of dollars thrown away! What a scam. And support? Very slow chat service where you can stand in line for hours...

Instead of doing Fly In, Do 'Reveal', set the speed to 100%. The problem I had was that there would randomly be some characters that would cover the screen because they're trying to fly in. Reveal mitigated that.

Is there a way to move them without having to update the media one at a time?

UGH! Why is it that EVERY TIME I look up "Camtasia not installing" I don't find a single result! Instead I keep finding stupid results that say "Camtasia not opening" or "Camtasia missing files"! I'M NOT LOOKING FOR THAT! I'm looking for my computer to STOP BLOCKING ME FROM DOWNLOADING CAMTASIA!

From the library you can also right click on an image to show the details, and that will show you where you got the image from - useful if you want to go back to the source, such as a particular website page or file. I use Snagit so much that tags are essential for me. They allow me to file concepts for future use and to send to clients - I have 3GB in my Snagit folder! I wish I could easily find and delete the items that are not tagged though, so I could reduce my storage.

Tagging all photos in a project to make them easier to search in the future - thanks! this was new to me.
