I tried to complete the whole BMW aux fan delete in one video but ran out of time and tools. I was able to delete the clutch fan and install the e-fan replacement. I sold the car but I never had an issue for the +2 years I had these installed. Definitely need some loctite on the threads going into the hub.

I am begging you guys don’t do it, unless you are in a cold climate area. I am in NC and did my 2005 bmw 330ci auto, back in the fall and worked well through the winter and spring. However as soon as it got hot, the electric fan wasn’t able to cool both the AC and the radiator. The car overheated and it burned the fan wires first and then the electric motor. So I swapped it with the one off the auxiliary fan that I took off and that one couldn’t cool the car either. So today I began the process for reversing everything to the original setup… what a pain and expense…😮 By the way, the reason I did it was because my aftermarket metal water pump kept going out, the people said that the clutch fan was too heavy and was wearing out the pump, so I listened… now I know that the original plastic pump lasted 124k miles, so I went back to all oem parts.

If it was faster it wasn't noticeable. The ride quality did increase because the massive reduction in unspring weight
Did you add a headset or know what one you can add?
I personally didn't but there are inserts you can pull out to put in a speakers and mic

That’s a tow hook that screws into the front bar reinforcement that is missing from the toolkit.

@Mountain Mods, not knocking you but that's insane going from a 50 to a 130. A 50 is a beginning recreational boot ( and a soft one at that) to a 130 (racer) which is a very stiff boot. I don't even think my kids started at a 50 so if someone at the shop advised going to a 130 from essentially a soft plush pillow of a boot, that's a boot fitter I would have walked away from. I have the same (130) boot but I've been at it for 45 years, weigh 220 and don't hesitate at dropping into just about anything short of a cliff. A boot that's too stiff is going to wear you out quickly because the power transfer is so immediate and reactive. Even as an advanced skier, I wouldn't recommend anyone going over a 120 as a guideline.
Great feedback. I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to sizing boots. I like how the 130 let's me go full send and gives me great feedback as I've been skiing since I could walk. Definitely recommend consulting someone that does this as their full-time job when selecting a new boot especially at this price point. My boots before these were used rentals (economical selection) so the step is drastic but I love these boots.
I'm learning with a 130 tecnica mach 1. I wouldn't have it any other way

Hahah totally get it. The manual swap is possible and my understanding is it is on the easier side for swapping a transmission. Also the money you put into it normally is reflected in the sales price.

What was it like to go from Flex 50 to 130? I am a solid intermediate skier. Skied a lot 30 years ago and all this is new to me. Not sure what to get in terms of flex.
I liked it a lot. You just have to be comfortable leaning into your turns to get use out of that flex rating. As you're an intermediate skier it would probably be worth upgrading to a higher flex. If I was you I would go to a ski store and talk to one of their associates about what boot makes the most sense for you. Flex is only one of the many ratings you will have to decide on when buying a new set of skis.

@@Fluterra I was pretty set on the mach 1 and I don't know to much about the cochise. I would suggest getting a complete set up. You can find a lot of nice options on sideline swapped or play it again sports. Getting your own boots and skis will greatly increase your progression as you will spend more time on the mountain, skipping the rental line, and you will get more comfortable with your equipment.
@@mountainmods5854 I skied a lot and raced, but 30 years ago. I think renting skis will be important to figure out the best option to eventually buy.

I would never never ever change the original zhp wheels, they are the nicest looking wheel on that car. I think they even look nicer than the e46 m3 wheels. That's just my opinion.

If you’ve already installed a system does it bother you? I got this helmet a few days ago and it felt great until I put my sena system inside now I’m getting jaw pain and it’s painful to remove /:
I can't say I never added a Bluetooth speaker in the helmet. I only used it for racing.
You did something wrong man. My Cardo has never changed a helmet for me. I've had it on AGV, Arai, Icon, Ruroc, Shoei and etc.
I just purchased a Viper. I'm a drag racer; gotta have the best; I believe I have it.

I've never had fogging issues as of yet but yes it has the pillock studs inside

No not really. I still have the OEM rims and use those for winter meats. I will say the low profile is a great look but puts you in a ton of opportunities to curb

It would have been nice to show the process that the boot fitter took you through to help you select this boot. I assume they measured you feet on a mondopoint scale, observed you feet for width, arch, instep, range of motion and flex. Next should have been removing the liner and perform a shell fit. What type of footbed did they recommend. Was it a custom mold or pre mold like a Superfeet? A good Footbed is essential especially in a high performance boot like a 130 flex Tecnica Mach 1. The fact that you mentioned the person doing the heat molding had you standing the wrong way on the board is question for concern that some important things may have been overlooked.
Thanks for the insight. It was my first time getting a heat molding done so I didn’t know the exact steps. Next time I’ll be armed and dangerous with your questions to ensure I get the exact right fit.

Thanks for the vid! For anyone else watching those sockets I think are called E sockets. The T for torx are male sockets for female bolt heads but these are female sockets for male bolts? I’m about to tackle this myself. I assume I’ll have to get them as a set but I’ll look at harbor freight too since these will probably used all of about 2 times 🤣

Mee too. I have Diablos Flex 90 ( min. I gues was 80) , need to change, Mach1 Flex 110 probably, not sure, if I will stand 130 and all day skiing, considering Im just 50 😒 Also good to think of width of the boot for your feet, take the time to choose, I realized, your feet change with age , so my boots feel a bit narrow today.

What tyre setup you using?
225/40/18 in the front and 255/35/18 in the back. If I had to do it over again I would look into getting a 18x9 for the rears and get a thicker tire. There's a lot of room in those wheel wells
