the thing I always like about these mobile city building games is that they always do the bare minimum of establishing a narrative at the beginning (like a 40 second long cutscene) and then never a hint of story progression ever again. like if you're going to expend that little effort, you might as well just not have it at all. at what point do you not even bother?
