In the early 80's I had 7 wolfhounds and top puppy and showed at crufts in 1990 what a wonderful animal these are they truly are the gentle giant

Absolutely love Wolfhounds. I have a mini WH and she’s magnificent in every way. About half the size of the full pedigree WH.

I was at a local park with my working line GSD, a very fit 90 lbs. She loves to chase big dogs, but always checks with me first. I called out to a wolfhound's owner and he said it was fine. "It won't catch mine anyway." Off my dog went and the wolfhound bounded away and was going around in a wide arc. My GSD long ago worked out that if another dog does that, she will go in a straight line to intercept the other dog. My GSD is just playing and is not aggressive at all, but she intercepted the wolfhound and there was a sudden puff of dust as they collided and rolled on the ground. I was terrified that one of the wolfhound's long legs might have been broken, but they both got up and they looked at each other stupidly. Funniest thing I've ever seen.
