To me this song is for all the people that have always felt too sensitive, who spend too much time in their heads, and who love too deeply. For those who's heart hurt too much for others and get sad thinking about the people who they couldn't help. Sometimes it feels all too much and there are people who we can't help. But in the next life everything will change. For me it's my job to make things better for people in the next life, so they don't have to feel so impossible in this cruel world. The world isn't meant to be like this and the simple things aren't meant to be this complicated. If you feel like this try volunteering, try getting involved in local movements. I promise, the world won't feel as impossible then. You'll find community and a tiny piece of hope for the next life. And more importantly. This one.

I have clinical depression. This song gives me some sense of peace. It perfectly describes how I feel. At the same time, even when it does not concern thinking about that one girl, it's the very fact that this song is called Next Life. It means so much to me at least, in the sense that, in the next life, I could have had peace and a good life, even though my current life is hellish and depressing as hell, due to so many reasons I can't simply ignore. At least this song takes me to someplace happy. 😢
