Since December 2016, we have been providing socially responsible, self-drive tuktuk rental for tourists and travellers visiting Sri Lanka. Tuktuk can be collected from our main office next to the International Airport, or delivered nationwide. As tuktuks are hired directly from local owners, the company provides a good and reliable income for some of the poorest tuktuk drivers in Sri Lanka, who would otherwise be working long hours as a driver to support their families.
Here, you will find some incredible videos from our guests on the road, along with some (hopefully!) informative clips on the practicalities of owning and driving your own tuktuk! Video suggestions & requests are welcome!

Planning on renting a tuktuk for 3 weeks. An electric one seems nice(no noise, no shifting, fast acceleration), but i'm thinking it's hard to find a place to charge it. When at a hostel/hotel if they don't have a plug outside/close to the tuktuk there won't be a way to charge it during the night. Can you share your thoughts on this?
Hey @casvandencorput6831, there are quite a few fast charging hot spots around Sri Lanka. Also we provide you with a an extension cord and a long charging cable so that even if you don't have a charging point outside your hostel/hotel you can charge it hassle free. hope this helps and if you want further information on the Electric tuktuk you can contact us through one of our social media pages and we'll help you out. 🛺💨

Yes it had some engine problems first someone put the wrong sparkplug in it so it bend the valve and also rook the carberetor apart loosing the parts 😂 everyting fixed but can not find the richt carb not even on amazone so there qere are no parts were i live Bonaire Dutch caribbean 🎉🎉

Your hint shorting the starter relais worked great for us. Maybe you could mention, that you also have to turn the throttle lever (same like starting with the key). Like this we were able to start the TukTuk and a mechanic changed the starter relais in just 15 minutes.
