@@Metalman200xdamnit Many audiences are afraid to play horror game in addition of its difficulty , this game has a big problem when it appeared in 1988 , due to horror and violence in its it face a lot of trouble in publishing you can read it on Wikipedia.

@Nostalgia-Games-TH-cam True,horror games were a hard sell in the late 80s-early 90s. It wasn't until MK came out that the walls started to crumble. Arcade games were designed to suck up quarters,but still be fun to justify playing them. Remember the sight of seeing someone kicking ass in an actual arcade cabinet? That was awesome. I get why you did it,but I think you did a disservice to the game and the players.

@@Metalman200xdamnit Splatterhouse was released in November 1988. Licensed to Atari Games for distribution in the USA (February 1989). Only 100 PCBs were produced by Atari because the game was banned in most arcades in the USA due to its violent nature as well as some questionable bosses such as the chapel boss (The inverted cross). Splatterhouse was the first game to get a parental advisory disclaimer.

this game can't be compared with today's games , it was in 80s ~ 90s , but when we compare it in its time like atari 2600 games it will be advanced for most of the games in its time.

@@superbn0va if you want to play the orignal arcade with the orignal sound there is old retro arcade machine on stores, but it is very rare, or there is some engineers dumb the game from faulted broken machine and emulate it with mame emulator and emulate without sound and very slow in comparison with the orignal and this is what we make, anyway we hope konami remake this game.
