So Beautiful
Anya wasn't just Jerry's piano teacher. She means a lot to us. Loves
Amazing. I am honoured and privileged to have known and worked with such an amazing artist. What a musician. What a beautiful touch she had.
There’s a ton of Anya’s joie de vivre in this recording, and some lovely photos!
beautiful !
So glad this came up in my feed. Memory eternal, Anya. x
Absolutely blown away!
What a beautiful and sensitive performance! Bravo to both of you.
Thank you, Ivo. Merry Christmas to you both.
Love it! What a treasure. When was this recorded Anya?
I love this Litolff work so much; I listen to it at least once a month! Pretty regularly actually. Makes me so happy! I just love Anya too, a beautiful woman and a wonderful pianist.
I agree... she's very special!
This is wonderful! Hi Andreas - hope you are both well!!! I play little piano but the guitar I switched to when we stopped I play every day - thanks for trying to teach a very lazy young student!! Give my best to Anya as well
Shaun, good to hear from you! I'm not sure about 'lazy'... precocious, yes, and definitely in the process of finding your place in the world. Sounds like you did just that! We both send you greetings as well. Take care.
Anya Laurence was my piano teacher when I was about seven. Are you in contact with her?
Hi Jeffrey... yes I am - we're married!
Hahaha ... My warmest regards!
And may I ask who wrote this cadenza you played? I like the Figaro quote at the beginning :) Ah, I found out already - its Maestra Landowska! Beatiful ''''
Beautiful to hear Anya's recordings!!!
I am in awe, absolute awe!
Lovely and inspiring.
Dear Anya - after hearing this I am speechless.
Anya, how wonderful to finally hear the music you have spoken of during our afternoon visits. **For those who wish to know more about this music and these talented artists, please read The Zimbalist Sonatas, part of the Afternoons with Anya blog series at KarenCalder.com.** Anya, thank you for posting! This was a wonderful start to my day.
