I was NC in PS1 because of democracy and freedom. Im TR in PS2 because I'm against corporates and mercenaries. Its a lore thing for me. I find it kind of sad that they changed the lore between PS2 and PS2, but I can understand that they wanted to make who the good or bad guys were more ambiguous, so everybody can believe theyre the good guys, which is more realistic. I also think NC from PS1 was way, way better looking. I'll take gauss guns over boring regular bullets, but the red tracers TR have look awesome

liked the game before they made the sunderer broken , a one button press repairing it to full hp is just insane , whats the point of taking out armor to defeat an infantry carrier when the infantry carrier can just nuke your tank that is designed to destroy the infantry carrier because the infantry are whining and complaining about tank player.. its so one sided infantryside that it just ain't worth spending another 2.1k hours on it because the community and the devs are toxic and set out to alienate the armor side of the community because the infantry players whine the loudest.

Biggest problems PS2 has that if changed, could bring people back 1. The combat/movement is old and outdated and needs reworked with some modern sprint/slide/prone mechanics 2. Needs new maps or zone changes. It is INSANE how Warzone has had triple as much map / new zone content added than PS2 has had in 12 years

everyone in these comments needs to stop coping they had to merge servers because this sht is so dead the pop was so low that it was better to bunch them together and even then its barely enough GG was fun while it lasted

I remember I played a bit of this game. Not too much, less than 20 hours probably. But I used to think it was amazing, but didn't play very often because my friends were into other games and I wanted to play with them. One of the greatest memories I have of this game was an early morning of 2015. For some reason I woke up too early (had school at 7:30), something like 5am, and I couldn't go back to sleep so I booted up the pc and started playing Planetside. As it turns out, not many people play at those hours. And, as it turns out, every single territory was occupied by an enemy faction. So spawned at the first base, created an apc (or whatever those big trucks that generate a spawnpoint were called) and started driving. There was not one person on any of the territories, so I went on to conquer bases unopposed for 2 hours (until I had to leave for school). There wasn't much to do except going up to an objective and pressing the Square button, but the idea of a single lonely soldier conquering an entire continent on his own was extremely amusing.

The mobility of the magrider alone is insane. I don't know how this guy highlighted prowlers hiding on hills as a strong suit but completely forgot magriders can utilize hills no infantry or tank could have easy access to while the prowler will have to make do with hills that somebody could just walk to.

Meanwhile me over on my PlayStation still playing Planetside2. I’d be so excited to learn of cross platform access, and an upgraded version of Planetside2 for Ps5. I’ve been wanting to build a base with the ANT sense it was released.

Thanking about coming to PS2 is it worth trying out?

all i care about is stalker infil. it's all i play, i dont give a crap about any other class or playstyles. it's a THRILL to me to go knifing the heavies and elitists who think they're god and can never die by an inf and then hear them talk so much shit in yells about us. DONT ruin the stalker. and besides, it's already easy enough for everyone by adding all the sounds and everything to make stalkers harder to play. how much easier do you lazies need it?! just entitled bullshit is all this is tbh

Bro disabling vehicles on the defending base is a cool idea but maybe sometimes allow them so it's possible to defend against armor spam?

i only have around 90ish hours on ps2 and to be honest its one of the most fun games that i ve ever touched. im an overwatch valorant and league player mostly, and ps to me just seems like such a unique experience compared to the games i normally play

Sometimes I hop on to play construction, and then some cloak guy comes over and keeps killing me so I quit the game. 😅

heavy / medic tryhards are more of a problem than any infiltrator. people just cry about infil is because its the one thing that is preventing them from having a pretty KD that no one cares about. aside from everything else, i think after all these updates i have some odd feeling we are getting another continent, just based off the photo of the new assault building, the background behind it, and the new armor bundle. none of these updates are going to keep me playing the game though, the only real thing that will bring back players is if they revert alot of CAI stuff. its cringe shooting 1 tank with over 6-7 rockets. i rather die easily to a2g and AOE tank rounds and be able to 1-2 shot them back then having to shoot many rockets / a2g /anti air rounds just to kill someone. this game is full of crybabies who just refuse to get good.

Hackers were out in full force yesterday after the streamer event on emerald. There were three of them on one faction flying around with mana turrets. Blasting through the map all headshots. Hopefully they take care of it because it doesn't feel good coming back after a year to see that.

Hackers are my least worries. Game keeps crashing every 30 mins

I played it with my cousins back in 2019-2021 ish idk the exact time. But it was soooo damn fun. The battles were crazy.

Game is still going strong after the Miller-Cobalt merge, had 1.4k players earlier today with 3 continents open. Emerald is active too

I just started playing planetside2 a few weeks ago, i was doing a small base build and famrming cortium last nite, when a big batttle broke out, my base was on the road going into some base, and the battle had gotten to their.. it was awesome, people were adding stuff to my little starter guy base and a huge batttle ensewed, my base was eventually trashed... lol but man it was a big one fer a while.. we did manage to take the base before the alert ended.. This is still a kick ass game.. I wish there was some up to date docs on it though .. Lol

Holy Heck I thought this game had died ages ago. And no I'm not being an A-Hole by saying that. I hadn't touch this game in forever and just assumed that it slowly died off.

for me personaly, it's not the quantity of hackers. I dont find hackers very often in this game. What really kill my faith in this game is the response to the hacking problem: I think it was this summer when the "mana turret underground" glitch came back in the game since long time (please explain how these people can place a mana turret underground when if i try to place a motion detector inside a bush i get a message saying "object view is obstructed) and there was a guy doing exactly that. One day passed. Two days passed and he was still there. 4 days. an entire week, same guy still unbanned. THAT killed my faith. Not the guy himself, but the absolute lack of actions from the devs

The fundamental lack of understanding of why the class is a problem does not reach these people's brains.

I don't like the vehicle design

Planetside 2 has had a good run but it has so many issues..... To be honest they need a huge influx of players but one problem is that weapon unlocks take a long time. And the average player doesn't has countless hours just to unlock one gun. And when you do unlock a gun theres barely a difference. That's just one of countless issues. Most of which is just fundamental parts of the game.....

Hacker issue is serious. Haven't played most of this year but the last few times it was insane.....

One random hacker is not a lot considering how small the player base is. People don’t catch on that you have like 1500 people playing and there’s one hacker on a server. A lot of people just suck and this game has a very high skill gap. Making people think there’s hackers. Out of the last two months I saw one legit hacker. Flying his ESF under the map and shooting people he was banned within the day.

please get rid of infil snipers

Uuuuuggggghhhhhh I get so turned off of a video when someone mentions kills per minute. Planetside 2 players are so uniquely obsessed with this insanely niche number. If someone is a hardcore player, plays 6 hours + a day everyday, plays the map, but they also happen to play stalker infil, scouting for there team, relaying information to there allies over coms, then KPM is the least of there concern. It doesn't make them casual, it doesn't make them any less good at what they do. Planetside 2 is a combined arms game about taking territory and ultimately working as a larger force, KPM and KDR shouldn't be important, it doesn't show how well you can work as part of a team. It just effects how good you are at finding easy farms and wining 1 v 1 engagements.

Finally I can agree with someone about infils. Infils are literally not a problem. I can't even remember last time I got killed by a pro infil, it's 98% heavy assault annihilating everyone.

Fishing seems like it probably took no effort to put together so I dont mind it.

planes are ok because they are so weakened that they are useless. grenades are ok.

Alot of cheaters aren't too obvious, noticed alot of Vanu Infiltrators shooting through walls and using ESP / Aimbot.

Hacker problem is not overblown. Ever since I came back for about two weeks, everyday during prime time there are hackers.
