Sri Lankan New Year Festival in the Netherlands 2022 🇱🇰 🇳🇱
The Sri Lankan new year festival in the Netherlands was held in the Rotterdam Punjab cricket ground on April 09th, 2022. The event was a massive success with the participation of a huge crowd. This is an annual event that helps all the fellow Sri Lankans living in the Netherlands to get together and recreate the awesome memories which we are missing living away from our motherland.
The day was filled with a lot of traditional fun games, traditional new year sweets, Sri Lankan food, music, and some dancing.
Special thanks must go to all the organizers who worked very hard in a tight time frame to make this event a success. ❤ ❤ ❤
Until we meet next year, let's cherish the memories. 🙌

Hi, did u buy half fare card at the airport? Im trying to buy e tickets but bit worried it might not valid because official website requires ID ?
We bought them online through SBB website. And when purchasing the usual tickets, you just need to tick that you have the half fare card, then the price is halved. And when they check tickets at trains for an example they ask for the half fare card. Just keep a print or a pdf would also do. 😊🙌

No I don't remember having to send any ID proof or bank details. They sometimes check the ID name and the ticket name for verification at the train. But not always. Anyway we didn't have to provide any proof when buying the tickets. Not sure if that is something introduced recently.

Yes, we used the half fare card from Zurich to interlaken. Its valid everywhere with only few exceptions

We booked ticket from SBB official site and there you have the option to indicate that you posses a half fare card. The half rate is shown after that. Not sure about euro rail though.

Hi Dunn dee, Yes we bought ticket when we got there. Actually we bought them like 3 4 hours before the actual time slot at the boat terminal it self which is just infront of interlaken train station.

Thank you for your feedback. 1. Ishanka got a job offer in Eindhoven. So we moved here. It's a city with a lot of internationals. So it was easier for us to adopt to the new conditions. 2. Ishankas company arranged to find an apartment. So, we didn't have to go through with the apartment finding journey in here. Hope this helps. Thank you. ❤
