I love my kitty w/a lion cut! She only tolerated the shaving once. The second time I took her to the groomer she wasn’t having any of it. The groomer got half done & that was it. My Baby girl looked ridiculous for a few months. Now back to her furry self. Pie is taking it like a champ. My girl would have been pissed by now. I comb/brush her daily little by little. That under coat on Pie is insane.

OF COURSE HE'S NOT HAPPY. HE'S A CAT. THEY GROOM THEMSELVES. THIS IS JUST CRUELTY AND MONEY SPINNING DISGUISED AS KINDNESS. STOP IT.

Mr Pie is not being hurt, he is loving this. He looks like he Is so thankful....

I adopted two Persians at once and I had to spend the first day brushing them rather aggressively like this because they were incredibly matted and needed baths with shampoo. We got the scary stuff out of the way in the first day and then I’ve been building trust with gentler daily brushing.

This is really an art craft. It’s so hard to find a good groomer. That looked pretty stress free, and she really cleaned him up. I can’t believe that pile of dead fur was bigger than the cat.

Is sedation recommended prior? I have the same type of cat and it is severely matted so I have an appt next week for grooming. Nothing was working. New brushes. Detangling stuff. She’s very anxious so I am wondering if I should have her sedated first.

I have kitty tumbleweeds because my cats draw blood when they see a brush. They live in a/c so they are always comfy. And of course they are matted
