I did exactly the same thing but when I turned it lines didn't Mach the colored links on the chain
That's not right. All the color links should match up. If they're not, you did something wrong, or you have the wrong replacement parts.
You have to start from the bottom and work your way to the top with the gears and colored links. Make sure the lineup with the pin points on the gears, like in the video. It shows everything
I have the same problem. Do you solve the problem ?
Everything is great when it's new you never really know what kind of junk you have until you got to start fixing things on it Nissan is starting the top the list on the biggest junk
Yep...mechanically, it's junk. I will never buy nissan again. There are too many problems after 100k miles. It's like the design it to fail
What mileage is it recommended to do this service?
I'd say 100k
Did you have to pull the engine out? I have the NISMO version so i dont know if its different.
No, I had to remove the passenger side motor mount and jack up that side of the motor to make room to remove the timing chain cover. Make sure when you put it all back together to clean with alcohol the cover and motor before applying silicone gasket. I cleaned it 3 times
Did that start
Yes, it runs great with no issues
How did it work out for you?
Yes, it worked. No issues. Make sure you thoroughly clean surface of the cover with alcohol and apply silicone gasket with new replacement rubber o-rings
