Yes, medicine woman is totally a thanksgiving deck. Wow, that Kartogram Thoth is gorgeous, as well as the Carol Herzer deck.I got my Gendron back when it came out, still have it. Horror Tarot is the bomb, I only got it last year. I am ok with the cardstock on it, not too bad, it shuffles pretty well and has held up over the last year at least. Dark Wood is such a fun deck for me. So sad about the Goddess of Love cardstock, why oh why? It is such a gorgeous deck, it deserves better card stock. Maybe some day they will reprint it. Love your greenie, but I don't need yet another one, but I want it.....
@@tarotgeektv I have faith the card-stock will be fixed! My copy of the horror tarot is good. I heard horror stories of people having to exchange their deck multiple times. I’m happy to have horror tarot and can’t wait to get dark wood. 😆💚💚💚

Thank you for inspiring me to pick up my Thoth deck again. A favourite book of mine is "The Thoth tarot" by Scott D. Miller.
Would you recommend that book for beginners?
@ yes I do! It breaks down each card into symbols, meanings and correspondences. It also touches upon numerology, astrology and the Kabbalah. It’s more about the Tarot deck than about the philosophy of Crowly

I feel the same rn im going deaper into thoth . Rws i learned first and all the rws books are just the meaninge and thats why im learning more woth thoth cause i wanna learn the kabbalah and tree of life hebrew astrology theres so much more to thoth and i love that.

I agree that Forhaxa is dark, for me my Forhaxa is my "don't be afraid of the dark" deck - it makes me feel like the darker more painful emotions are perfectly okay, it's not really a comfort deck, but it just kind of says "and that's okay." The Death card is the card I immediately think of for embodying the spirit of the deck, it's there to just be with you in the pain. :) I'm curious about how you'll connect differently with the mass market!

I am sooooo glad you got the RM Place deck, I really enjoyed my time with it. I used it a ton, but let it go last year during a heavy purge. I'm tempted by the big lot. I have other editions of some, but I am away from my collection and I MISS my decks. 😮 have you had any nibbles? I have always wanted to try drowning world hmmmm. I am the lone ranger out here... I love Gothic Literature Tarot, it's watercolor with some computer enhancing (like almost all published decks) - she's just a really accomplished artist. That's part of the problem with ai, is people don't believe in the real art either. 😢 But the cards are a lot of fun (to me) I love the stock. I thought it would be a little "one-note" but it reads well. I miss my Bohemian Gothic Tarot, so it's filling the void. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Leon🦖🦖🦕🦖

The Goth Lit deck just didn't appeal to me. I already have Darkness of Light, Vampire Tarot by RMP, and Bohemian Gothic so that vibe is covered. Tarot of Her is one of my favorites. It pairs so well with Roots and Wings or Wisdom of the Sacred. Girl you are all in on Thoth. Funny how different our aesthetic is. You are letting go of so many decks that I love so much.

I bought Gothic literature because of the mainstream hype, and I can see that it is AI-generated. I regret this. 😢 I will hold onto Tarot of Her because of the art and book.
@@DetailHunter you think it’s AI? I was wondering the same thing before I bought it but now looking at the cards. There are effects you can get for photoshop that could have been used for it. BUT AI is not out of the question.

@DetailHunter 100%? Well, the question has been asked and answered. The creator responded and gave the artist's Instagram. (I don't have it on hand), but she's a watercolor artist, and her work is documented. I am also an artist, and I don't love the ai movement... however, I also don't think it should be entirely discounted. I did enjoy Primordial Dreams Tarot and Kelly Fitzgerald's Inner World Tarot.

Hi Honey Lou. I love Wisdom of the Sacred Oracle, such a great oracle deck. I think it feels like Christmas/Yule too. OMG the summer love is so beautiful. I think I am obssessed. Mari is incredible, I am always impressed by how amazing she is and she is such a sweet and incredible person. I don't usually get to watch videos, and I only get to watch some cause I don't have much time with the internet today but this was fun. I love the vampire tarot by Robert M. Place, it is such a great deck!!!🥰
