There is NO WATER. People have to buy it from water tankers. And people coming from other countries are driving prices up, so the locals are getting pissed off.

In short it will be a trajín to comunícate the AirPort with Mexico city and the metro…

Just recently (from october 2024) Metro enabled contactless payments, so you can do your fare with debit/credit cards directly instead of buying a MI card. Same option goes for Metrobús.

What do you prefer more? AICM or AIFA, taking into account the distances between airports, transport etc... the AIFA is the best airport of México City, is so beautiful, I do almost the same time from my house to the AIFA and the AICM

Their building a train it’s about half done it’s going to be the best airport in Mexico

THERE'S A TRAIN LINE UNDER CONSTRUCTION FROM DOWNTOWN MÉXICO CITY TO AIRPORT AND BACK, AND IT SUPPOSED TO BE OPERATING ON DECEMBER 2024.

A train is under construction, in a few months it will be finished and will be able to transport you, also a branch of the insurgent train that goes to Toluc will arrive at AIFA.

They screwed you for $900 pesos.

There are MANY formal buses lines that go to all parts of Mexico City, the best ones are ETN, Primera Plus, Omnibus, Turistar, ADO, and many many others. And also go to many nearby cities, and all parts of CDMX

A train is under construction right now, is almost finished… but privates take too long 🙄 the part that public sector built was finished so quickly 🙄 but private companies are corrupted and slow

Sorry but of course there’s public transportation to the AIFA, there’s one line of Mexibus that goes from Ciudad Azteca Subway station to Aifa. And there’s also many lines of formal buses that go to the 4 corners of Mexico City and also go to the nearby cities of the center of the country. And the train is almost finish.

Thank you for mentioning the train @LAGRANCAGUAMA, I'm 7 minutes into the video, and so far Cristo, has not mentioned anything about a soon to be TRAIN, is going to be cheaper, but most importantly, it would be much faster. GREAT JOB PRESIDENT OBRADOR 🇲🇽

Besides the train which is in the works (maybe 6 months til it's operational) there is already public transportation from AIFA to CDMX center, although it's a little tedious and non linear but at least there it is the option. So it's called "Mexibus (similar to Mexico City's "Metrobus") basically an "urban bus" that rolls in its own exclusive lane (so no traffic), starts at AIFA then goes through some cities of Mexico State (keep in mind you have to make a transboard from one bus to another of the exact same tipe but different route) then once you get to the terminal it connects with the "Metro (subway) system" specifically "Line B" that leeds to Buenavista Station (which is the same place where the future train will depart from), in a very central part of CDMX, and of course once in the Metro you can go anywere were the metro goes, so to grap it up from AIFA to Buenavista Station costs $30 MXP and timewise it's roughly an hour to an hour and a half, as i said its tedious but doable and if you're looking for it to be cheaper, this is as good as it gets, plus if there's traffic in a more direct route this is the viable option

its a shit airport. It was a money launding scheme by the ex president. Look up the actual airport that was going to be built by the president back in 2012. its called NAIM. Just youtube NAIM cdmx. I bet people are going to get offended and start saying that it was going to be underwater, but that's how dumb they are. Just radicalized lefties that don't bother looking stuff up. The architect built, i believe the tokyo airport which was made on water, and its doing fine.

I don't understand why people cry so much about transportation,we travel the whole day to get to our destination from Mexico City to Puebla every time we visit our family from NY.

A train to the airport is been built already, will open in a couple months, so trips from CDMX will take 30 mins. and will cost around $60-$90 pesos one way.

TAXTaxis do take advantage of travel no matter what city you are talking about. Last November, I visited friends and arrived at O’Hare Airport around 12:30 AM. The taxi charged me $89. There was no traffic to Berwyn, IL, and it took over 40 minutes.

Also, I don't know why tourists like yourself cry about the taxi fare from AIFA to Roma Norte. Try taking a dam taxi ride from JFK airport to Manhattan and you will pay double or triple what you pay in Mexico City. Cry cry cry....that's all tourists do in Mexico. What do you guys want seriously? You want the Mexican taxi to take you anywhere you want for 50 pesos??? Get real man...those guys have to make a living just like you and just like the overpriced taxi driver at JFK.

Also, the reason why this airport seems so massive in terms of acreage is because right next to this international airport is the Mexican Air Force Base of Santa Lucia which was modernized and expanded as well while they built this airport. Santa Lucia is the largest of 18 Mexican Air Force bases spread throughout the country.

If you would have done proper research before uploading this video, you would have found out that they are building a train to go to and from the airport very efficiently from Mexico City. Also, if you think the terminal is big now, just wait till they build the second half right next to the current one with the very same building dimensions and its own runways which is why they built this airport with the future in mind and for the future growth of Mexico City and not necessarily for the present needs. 😁

The Train is a couple of months away from opening and it will be the fastest and safest way to arrive from and to CDMX.

The train will open next begining next year. the airport is ment for international flights. it will gradually replace the old one. the time is ok. less than Paris, Tokio narita, JFK, LA, Roma, etc... and wayyy cheaper.

The airport just received the Versailles award with just other 5 more in the world. It was built with 80+ million passengers per year in mind. There’s a train being built that will get you almost to the boarding gates.. it is expected to be opening in the next couple of months. The people that complain it’s mainly because they want the airport to be next to their house.

The main purpose of the new airport for now is for commercial flights with merchandise as to allow the existing airport more breathing room. There's train in the works to get to the new airport.

At Gate 7 inside the airport there is a metro machine to purchase or reload the metro card. It also accepts CC payments.
