Now that we have all of the walls of the garage cut out, we can't let it all fall down! Also, my Dad comes to help me with those heavy steel beams. Winterizing Our Off Grid Water Storage System Using Our RV

We needed to be able to store our water without it freezing during the harsh winter months. We were able to construct an insulated box that holds 550 gallons of water that is heated by the exhaust of our diesel heater that is already running on our RV (during the winter). No extra electricity needed! 🚫💡👍 Disclaimer: Under no circumstances will GoodbyeCityHelloCountry be responsible or liable in...

    Not a bad idea, was thinking just a 2 inch reciever kit. The sizing had me off a bit, usually 2 or 2 5/16 hitches or a pintle fits all of my trailers. put the hitch in backwards to fill it up when doing dirt work?

      @goodbyecityhellocountry หลายเดือนก่อน

      @fastst1 I was originally thinking just a 2", but couldn't find a strong way to weld it in, and be able to remove it simply. I'll put in the description of the video what I welded in. It allowed me to use the different hitche sizes. It kinda just worked out that way. I put it in backwards a few days later and spun around bending the hitch in the receiver. Talk about a pain in the butt to remove. So careful doing that. When you lift the blade, the hitch lifts also and hits the bottom of the excavator. Took a whole day to get it out without damaging the blade or receiver.

      @@goodbyecityhellocountry LOL dagnabbit, excavators are really good at bending stuff. My local trailer fab shop has reciever kits in a number of different lengths etc, trucks sometimes need custom hitch layouts

      @robbieeades1956 I have no idea who that is actually, but I'll be sure to check it out. I came up with this idea on my own, as I'm always trying to be more efficient. I'm sure it isn't the first time it's been done.

    The only videos I have seen use a 2 gallon spot sprayer with about a gallon of vinegar, a pound of salt and a few table spoons of Dawn dish soap but no water. My hare brain says water just dilutes it too much. My personal learning was with what was a calcium loaded tire where it was 7lbs salt per 1 gallon water (about 20 gallons) that didn't freeze in winter. Spread it on a 4-5 ft square patch of grass and 3 days later every blade of grass and weeds were dead for about 3 years. It really rusted out the rims too. Good Luck.

      @normhowes2975 Thanks for the comment. I did take that into account all the salt being on the ground and getting on my cars and rusting them out. I think the best thing keeping them back is dragging every Sunday. I'll prob do a video on that. It's amazing how many people dont drag their driveways.

    You may want to check with the mfg., they all treat the floors with a toxic pesticide--1 quick coat of an epoxy paint will seal the floor for good !!
