Not Played a wrestling game in ages. They all got a bit samey to me. Nice intro to start things off, got a few memories like that myself. My Fave wrestling game is The Main Evet that wa sin the arcades, Allf citional wrestlers and a massive button basher (literally as well as figuratively). I heard there were a ot of bugs in the AEW game. Have they sorted that all out now? If it's not too pricey i might get it.
The holy grail of gaming ... the closest I got to this was seeing a Neo Geo AVS down at the arcades .... or on an episode of GamesMaster!
I think the video games were the highlight this time around. The PS1 Changed everything.
Didn’t have a Nintendo console until a bought a Wii for the kids. I didn't grow up with the NES, I was a C64 and Megadrive kid, although me and some used to cheekily play on the NES that was set up for demonstration purposes in Argos and Rumblelows! Finally got to appreciate more of the games in the NES library via emulation.
Didn’t have an Amiga, but I used to go around to a mates house and play on his. WWF Wrestlefest and Rodland were particularly memorable. Also enjoyed the Alien Breed and Body Blows games, so I was very pleased that I was able to play these again via the Team 17 Collection on Evercade. I wanted to get the Jaleco Arcade Collection too just for the sheer purpose of being able to play Rodland on the go! Luckily a lot of the Amiga's most popular titles like Cannon Fodder, Worms, James Pond, Sensi Soccer, Lemmings and Chaos Engine came to the Megadrive so that I was able to play them at home!
So much love for the Commodore C64 ... so happy that I've been able to replay some of my old favourites on the Super Pocket. Cannot wait to get the Thalamus Collection and play Creatures again!
The Mini SNES still remains the best from the Mini Console boom ... and it was one of the first too! Nintendo took what they'd done with the Mini NES and made an even greater mini console with a fantastic selection of games, including the never released Star Fox 2! Oh, and it was also ridiculously easy to hack and add more games onto it! Tee hee hee! 😉
It does seem as if it was quickly put together and released to jump on the mini console bandwagon that Nintendo started with it's Mini NES and Mini SNES. The collection of games could have been bigger and the emulation should have been much better. A hacked Mini SNES actually runs Ridge Racer Type 4 better than the PlayStation Classic!
Probably still my all time favourite games console. Even the theme when it first comes on is enough to fill me with nostalgia. It was also the first console that I bought brand new myself from working a full-time job. I still remember that payday when I left work and walked over to the nearest Electronic Boutique where I then left with a PS1 in hand along with Tekken 2 and Duke Nukem. Loved Metal Gear Solid and the various games from the Tekken, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot and Gran Turismo series. And yep, I've made a couple of vids on this console too. Didn't know you attended Summerslam 92 mate, thats amazing
Hell yeah, to Wrestlefest! I'm glad that we can play this on emulation because the Legion of Doom are both ridiculously overpowered in that game! It would have taken me quite a number of 50p's back in the day to have beaten them!
They already published the Sega Mega Drive versions of several of these games on the Evercade: they are expecting people who already bought Midnight Resistance and Crude Buster to buy them again. On the Evercade, the Sega versions may be better (via emulation) than the arcade ROMs.
Lots of cracking films in 1995: Rumble in the Bronx, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Batman Forever, Mortal Kombat ... and the along awaited return of Bond with GoldenEye!!
I loved Waterworld, and Goldeneye. Die hard Vengeance so good.
Class game. I also really liked the Wii version. The remote just gave t that extra dimension.
I remember Arabian in the arcades! Absolutely brilliant game. I do like having these single screen games on the go in my Super Pocket! I gave Aero the Arco-Bat a miss back in the day, as it looked like just another Sonic knock-off, but I can see that I'm going to have to give it a second look.
I came late to the snes. I played my mates and eventually got one and then the mini.
It was an absolute stone cold classic, although due to being a Megadrive owner at the time, my first Mario Kart experiences instead came later on the N64 and Wii.
I have this collection myself. Team 17 actually started out being based in Wakefield where I live when they were known as 17 Bit. They had a little shop/office above an amusement arcade that I used to visit frequently. And I was usually in one of the Microbyte shops every couple of weeks spending my hard earned paper round money. Ahhh, simpler times. It was worth getting this cart such for the fact that you're getting the three Alien Breed games AND Body Blows. I'd never heard of Qwak, but it's turned out to be one of my favourite games on here. I'd have thought that we'd get at least one Worms game on here, seeing as that is Team 17's biggest and most well-known hit. But of course they saved that for the Worms Collection. If they do a second volume of Team 17, I'd like to see them include Worms Directors Cut and Body Blows Galactic/Ultimate Body Blows.
I would love to see a second collection, mate. Quality games for the most part. Many, many Amiga memories here 😄👍
Ooh tea 17, they made some good games. Had quite a few of their games. Neve played project x, that i can recall at least. Obviously I payed the worms series, the first wto alien breed games and Body Blows. Never the easiest of games but good fun. I still have Arcade Pool in it's box somewhere.
They were quality titles, mate. Usually trick as heck, but fun. Loading times between losing several lives always hurt though 🤣
@@NikTyrrell I would have though they would have found a way to skip loading times, being on a cartridge and all that.
Sorry, mate, I meant on the Amiga. My bad 😄👍
@@NikTyrrell not as bad as the spectrum, least the amiga wouldn't; crash halfway through loading a level.
@NotSuitableForMum lol. yeah, mate. you’d stick a tape in, go down and have your tea. come back up and it would have crashed. Good times 🤣
I didn;t know any of these, but i think I've played all but 1. I used to love flying shark. I had it on the spectrum I think. Looks like a great cart.
It really is, pal 😄👍
Apart from Guardian it’s a really good cart
It is, mate 😄👍
Interesting top picks, just goes to show how varied the collection is.
There’s something there for everyone, mate. Which three would you have picked? 😄
@@NikTyrrell Qwak, Project X and Alien Breed Tower assault.
All good shouts, mate 👍
An Epic Cart I'm going to award a Crash Smash
Loved playing through these games again, mate.
Hey y'all we've got some jacked Super Pockets for sale 50 bucks
That's really strange US people were getting it first I don't get that
Same, my mate.
I never get tired of listening to bubble bobble music
So damn catchy that tune, dude! 😄👍
I'm sure it comes in lots of colors but I really like that color,it's nice to have something a bit smaller to play sometimes and it plays everything so heck yeah
Can’t argue that, mate 😄👍
So many classics in this collection!!
There is, mate! 😄👍
Sadly "All your base are belong to us" doesn't feature in the arcade version of Zero Wing! 😅
This is a cool cart. For me, Flying Shark is the nuts, mainly because I remember playing this in the Arcades back in the day. The rest I don't remember, so they turned out to be nice surprises. Overall a banger. Good to see Happy Nik back after the last Duke Cart.
Cheers, dude! 😄👍 Hate being negative, but have to be honest.
Good video Nik, completely agree. If people don’t like it, don’t buy it. I wasn’t going to as I have an EXP and VS but have just bought a Taito one anyway! It’s going to live either in my van or work bag. I’ve not been playing as much lately and am hoping this little device with reignite that. Who knows might mean I also have the interest again to find the time to work on the magazine again.
Thank you, mate. I appreciate that. Mine never leaves my work bag. Always good to grab a few mins on bubble bobble during the day 😄👍
For me, this is still the absolute best of the mini consoles. Not just because of the games included, but also because Nintendo inadvertently made it so damn easy to hack the bloody thing and put more games on it!
I play mine regularly, mate. Love me some snes 😄👍
This is where gaming really started for me, I'll never forget that faithful Christmas morning and the huge wrapped up present that contained a Commodore C64 along with the Night Moves and Mind Benders collections!
It was such a good time, mate. Loved both the 64 and Speccy days 😄👍
The year I had my son Turville and Dean my favs you kept that one quiet lol Loved the raggy dolls x
I did x
Not for me this one. As I said before I prefer the original side scrollers. A lot more fun.
The first cart was definately the better one, mate.
Enjoyed Time To Kill back in the PlayStation days, I think that I actually preferred it to the Tomb Raider games.
I never played a lot of these two back in the day, mate. Maybe looking at them these days, I missed the boat. I did play a lot of tomb raider though.
I don’t think any of these game play well on evercade they just don’t feel right
These three certainly don’t, mate. The three from the first cart are great. These are just really clunky.
Love the first cart and loved it, but not bought this one. Doesn’t look like I’m missing anything!
Not a fan, mate. Can’t love em all 😄👍
😂😂 however bad you think this is, pop Intellivision 2 in again and I reckon it'll change your mind. I think people are going to have a similar reaction when they play that Tomb Raider collection.
It has me worried, mate. I do still play ps one games on my ps3 and never complain. Just think maybe these are pieces of there time.
That's an interesting take, it's a solid cart imo. but yeah, if you can't do tank controls you probably aren't gonna have much fun.
A very fair point, mate. Hoping Tomb Raider handles better 🫤
I think the controls suit tomb raider more, but I do anticipate some struggling with them.
@genejoke8538 I really hope so, buddy 😄👍
😮 I have not bought this one. It never appealed. As much as I love Evercade and I do, Sunsoft 1 turned me into a selective cart buyer as opposed to getting them all.
I’m a completionist, mate, and despite my gripes, don’t mind the fact I’ve bought it as sales figures will reflect blaze can get top licenses. I do however fear for tomb raider.
Well 1994 seemd like a better year for the most part. Singes chart was abysmal though.
It did, mate.
A tricky little game but one of the better Disney platformers.
Still love it today, mate. Stands the test of time. As for tricky, damn that clock tower 🤣
My brother fainted during Interview with a Vampire and was taken to A & E, I never did go back to that film.
It’s one of my favourite vampire movies ironically mate 🤣👍
Shops being open on a Sunday felt weird to begin with ... now it's just a normal occurrence. Ah yes, the year of the PlayStation and Saturn in Japan ...
It did, mate. I do enjoy researching and making these. Brings back a lot of memories.
I now 3 of those. R-type is class albeit incredibly difficult. Moon patrol a little basic but a heck of a lot of fun. 10 Yard fight is about as basic as you can get American football game. No real skill, more luck than anything else, Looks like a pretty decent cart that one.
It really is, mate. These arcade carts have really grown on me. I was playing MP for ages after filming 🤣👍
I think I've said before that i never rated the 3D FPS Duke games but to have the two originals nakes this a must have. I never had a pc when these came out so played them all the time on my mates Dad's machine.
I’d never played them before this collection, mate. Was never much of a pc gamer. Always been the old 8 bits then the consoles after that 😄👍
Ahhh, so many memories with this game. I remember that the Master System version was also very good. For me though, I think I preferred it's sequel, World of Illusion. I would spend hours playing that with my little sister and what was good about that is that game encouraged Mickey and Donald to actually work together to get through the levels; i.e. jumping on opposite ends of a seesaw, Mickey pulling Donald through tight gaps, etc. We thought that was absolutely brilliant at the time ... we'd never seen anything like it before!
Yes, mate. A really decent version on the MS. I’ve played WoI. Too title and really fun multiplayer to boot. Glad this one brought back some memories for you. Thank you for a great comment! 😄👍
93 seemed a bit mmeh apart form the odd few videos games. Bit crap fort me asd was in an out of hospital with my eyes.
Sorry to hear that, dude. I say it every episode, but I really do enjoy researching the content for these and getting that nostalgia hit 😄👍
