Christmas is nice for the kids to receive gifts.Other than that for the adults it is nothing special.
Not a big fan of Crypto either .Looks like we are all in agreement .Cheers .
If covid “vaccines” demonstrably save lives then the notion of that an 'anti vaccination movement' exists is somewhat paradoxical. Presumably, this 'movement' is in a continual state of scrambling around recruiting new members to replace the hordes of them who are dying due to being unvaccinated - and yet being unvaccinated is their core raison d'etre? What a curious situation.
We appreciate you taking the time to comment. We would like to provide some counterpoints to your argument. First, the anti-vax movement is not focused solely on Covid, and not all afflictions cause death. I hope we can all agree that contracting polio and being stuck in a wheelchair is not a desirable outcome; even if it doesn't kill you. Second, of course vaccines save lives. For those who disagree, we would strongly advise more (proper) research. As for the Covid vaccine, we can ALL agree that governments screwed up in their messaging, their rollouts, and the fear campaigns. We hope all sides of this debate take the time to learn from the mistakes made during Covid and we all do better if there is a next time.
@@theromeopodcast-iw2xv Hey, no doubt and I agree. But far too many are twisting that trad jabs and covid are the same thing... which is not at all true. Too important the two don't twist that they are one and the same.
I’ve heard from countless individuals that regret getting the covid jabs, who stopped getting more. And I've talked to hundreds that have had zero, and not even one regrets their decision. In fact, the vast majority agree that not participating in this is one of the best decisions that we’ve ever made in our lives. ^ All that I need to know, right there ^
Panic can sometimes result from listening to stupid comments and speeches.

The reason, imo, Trump got elected is not because the Dems went too far left. I'm a European ,so I don't feel comforable commenting on how the American people percieve the Dems, certainly given that I haven't looked at stats about it, but if you purely look at policy, it's ridiculous to think Biden was too far left on issues voters really cared about. Certainly when we consider Trump's "policies" as the great alternative the Maga's have put forth as a challenge to Biden's legacy. The Dems lost because on one hand we haven't developped the right tools yet on a societal level to deal with social media as the main way large portions of our citizens get their information and on the other hand a general apathy among the electorate to politics. Like the guy on the left (Aki?) brought up, the main reasons people gave as a justification for their vote were concerns about the economy and immigration(not woke, which some of your friends seem to have a political soft spot for). I agree Biden acted too slowly on immigration ( and once he did act, Trump used his political influence to block the bill, so he could run on the issue instead of letting the republic take care of an issue the electorate cares about.) However, Biden did receive a post covid economy in which pretty much all countries worldwide had problems tackling inflation. Look at OECD statsistics, America dealt with inflation like a champ! They had one of the best economical post covid recoveries in the world. I'm not saying there aren't some people who really suffered from inflation whos problems we should take seriously, I am saying however that lots of people don't keep in mind inflation is a global issue, with causes outside of the presidents power and that Biden managed it pretty much as well as anybody possibly could have done. The fact that people say inflation is their biggest issue and then vote the Tariff Orange into power tells us they are either uninformed or they don't care that Trump's ideas are idiotic because they hate the political class/ status quo so much that they just want to see it crash and burn. Be careful what you wish for... I don't want to say your friends are totally off the mark, there are LOTS of fair criticisms you could make of the Democratic party. You have to be blind to say that the division in the USA is due to the dems getting too left however or that both sides equally caused this problem. The extreme left within the democratic party is a fringe minority which, admittedly, gets too much of a voice. The extreme right is the mainstream, dominant force in the republican party currently. Trump spreads constant misinformation( see dominion lawsuit for an example which indirectly proves this) and is an insurrectionist(federal indictment, statements from head of DOJ, disbarment of Giuliani...) . To add insult to injury, to this day he still won't admit he lost the elections fair and square in 2020, although he doesn't have any evidence whatsoever for his claims. If Hamilton, Jay and Madison would've been able to look into the future, paper 86 of the federalist would've been a picture of Trump with a big red cross over it. Trump's Maga movement is, ironically enough, deeply anti American. Anti liberal voices are gaining traction all throughout the world, because the people fall prey to missinformation. Human beings are lazy. It's easier to check twitter than to read legal documents and long research articles. Sadly twitter is full of Russian bots or creatures who've sold their souls to Pjotter and Voldomir to spread propaganda (Tenet media: Tim Pool, Dave Rubin for example, they are such great independent research journalists that they "didn't even know" they're being paid to spread Russian propaganda). The dems aren't losing because of policies, they lost because the right dominates the media sphere. To any American readers, please don't take this as a stereotypical European looking down on Americans for being "dumb". Americans, just like other peoples, are a diverse bunch and any generalizing statement from my end about them would be idiotic. There are lots and lots of incredibly intelligent, hard working, courageous and ethical Americans. America has made plenty of misstakes, but there couldn't have been, and still can't be a better nation to take the leading role within international politics. Together we and our other allies can improve our societies and work towards a fairer world where every human being's basic freedoms are respected and international politics isn't just a matter of big states bullying the small, but a genuine rule of law. Look how far we've come. Pick up a history book and read what the average person's life was like even 200 years ago. We've made so much progress, we just aren't at the finish line yet. Let's have the courage to stand up and protect the freedoms and rights our ancestors have fought for and to tackle the problems of our fellow citizens, not through void slogans and misinformation, but through well thought through policy.
Thank you for watching The ROMEO Podcast and for taking the time to articulate your thoughtful insights. Your perspective includes many points which we have discussed over the course of our past episodes. We invite you to join us on a regular basis and we encourage you to continue sharing your opinions.
Thank-you for your thoughtful comments (from “the guy on the left”). The Romeos don’t pretend to have all the answers. Essentially, we enjoy our discussions and welcome grounded insights like yours. You may have erred on “paper 86” of the Federalist Papers. There were 85 papers. Nonetheless, it doesn’t detract from the fundamental points that you are making about a hijacked Republican Party and social media suffocating serious thought. These are uncertain times across the political landscape and there is a lot of distortion of facts and peddling of self-serving arguments. We aspire to be a space for honest conversations, fact-based exchanges and mutual respect. Your thinking is consistent with our approach. Hope to hear from you again.
The joke I intended to make was that they would've added an extra paper to the Federalist just for Trump, that one being the 86th
You did indeed! I promise to lighten up.
Really insightful
It's just crazy that these guys go on to discuss their fantasies about what is a UBI for 43 minutes when the thing already has a technical definition. The 'U' in UBI is sometimes interpreted as 'Universal' and sometimes interpreted as 'Unconditional' but either case there is no means-testing in a UBI. Right out of the gate these guys can't bring themselves to imagine this... I've seen it so many times, the technocratic, control-oriented impulse of people who imagine that just as long as _they_ make up the means-testing rules, define the hoops & the conditions under which people should be allowed to get the benefit(s), things would be better than when the state does it. "True means-testing has never been tried before." JUST DON'T. JUST DON"T MEANS-TEST. AT ALL. LIKE, ZERO. IT"S A HONEYTRAP FOR YOUR SMALL-MINDED IMPULSES TO "DIRECT" OR "EDUCATE" OR "GUIDE" THE HUMANS AROUND YOU THAT LEADS TO 💩💩💩

Biden and harris are the puppets you m0r0n!!! Block your channel!
Thanks for taking the time to comment. In the sense that money has flooded politics, we can agree every politician is a puppet. Given the near 50/50 split and the current polarization of American society, we would suggest it's better to continue dialogue, painful as it may be for some. If you had taken the time to listen to more of our opinions, you would find some of the ROMEOs lean further right than you think.
Angry group of ladies.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. We would challenge you to watch Episode 21 where the ROMEOs discuss Sex vs Gender. We may cackle like old ladies from time to time...but we are 100% binary males!
@ Your feminine response to a societal transition, just because of your mainstream ideological infection, is astounding. One could watch Rachel Maddow for 15 minutes and hear every single point of concern brought up. Boring, weak, feminine.
Associating weak with feminine just makes you a misogynist. We believe that society would benefit by eliminating misogyny, racism and bigotry, while encouraging greater respect and tolerance of others. Introspection comes with intelligence and life experience. We hope you find a bit of both in the near term. Your life will certainly be more blessed when you do.
@ You just proved why Trump won the presidency. The pretentious, condescension of the identity obsessed left. ‘Racism, misogyny, bigotry’ . These tropes, (your theological foundation) are irrelevant, tired and are literally dying on the vine. Leftist ideology is dead. Progressivism is dead. Social engineering from a marxist viewpoint is being destroyed and recognized for its inherent evil. Sociologically, the action of character assassination is recognized as feminine and physical assassination as masculine. Fact. Try harder. Read more. Think critically. Have conversations with those who don’t conform to your weak and vapid ( and dangerous) ideology. Living in an intellectual bubble does not benefit society.
Now why didn't you write this well thought out comment earlier? It certainly advances the dialogue more than "angry group of ladies". I can assure you some of us share your viewpoint. But life is all about grey zones and little is black and white. There is nuance around everything you wrote...and intelligent dialogue will go a long way in bringing more clarity to people's positions and actions. Thanks again for taking the time.
Haha...Kamala got demolished by Trump! 😆
While we enjoy expressing our opinions and encourage others to do the same, we also value facts. According to the Associate Press (AP), over 150 million Americans voted in the 2024 presidential election, with 50.0% voting for Trump, 48.4% for Harris and the balance split between other candidates. America’s diversity should be respected and celebrated.
@@theromeopodcast-iw2xv He crushed her with the electoral college, and he won the popular vote by over 4 million votes. Yeah...he crushed her badly.
Thanks for the interesting data, but it does not relate to the point of our earlier comment. In 2020, Biden won the electoral college 306 to 232 and received 7 million more votes than Trump. By your standards, Biden “crushed” Trump in 2020, yet we still would have referred to America as a diverse and divided country based on Biden receiving 51.3% of the popular vote vs. 46.8% for Trump. America is a fascinating country and most of western civilization is watching with great interest and rooting for its success.
4 kamala supporters ... geezus
First off, thanks for listening and providing your comment; we really do appreciate ALL comments. We would challenge you to listen to more of our discussions. You will find the ROMEOs are very diverse politically...from a staunch social and fiscal conservative...to a couple of fiscal conservatives (one more of a libertarian)...to a lifelong liberal who has spent his entire career helping those less fortunate. We express our opinions having lived a lifetime seeing the results of both liberal and conservative policies. As an example, most of us decry the woke agenda of the left, but we also believe women have a right to decide what happens to their bodies. It is unfortunate that politics has polarized the world and paralyzed the fundamental strength of democracies: compromise. We are all hopeful politicians will get the message and begin to work together for common sense policies rather than follow a scorched earth mindset. Unfortunately, the President-elect, who some of us believe has solid priorities, is at the forefront of polarization and scorched earth politics. The reality is the American people have voted and we will witness at least 2 full years of Trump policies. Where we go from there is in the hands of the voting public, but rest assured the ROMEOs will always have an opinion you can count on.
Really? And who do you support?A convicted felon, a sex offender, and a fraudster.Good for you .

TDS at it's best
Thank you for listening and joining the conversation. We respectfully suggest that you would benefit from a refresher on the use of “its”, the possessive form of "it" vs. “it’s”, a contraction of "it is" or "it has". For audience members who are not familiar with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), this derogatory term is typically used to describe a form of toxic criticism and negative reaction to Donald Trump’s statements and political actions. Charles Krauthammer, a psychiatrist, first coined the phrase “Bush derangement syndrome” in 2003, and defines TDS as a Trump-induced “general hysteria” that produces an “inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences and signs of psychic pathology” in Trump’s behavior. Fareed Zakaria, a journalist, defined TDS as “hatred of President Trump so intense that it impairs people’s judgment.” We are neither Trump lovers or haters, simply interested observers. Your visceral reaction to our opinions supports the findings of three independent studies* that were conducted to explore the existence of (a)symmetric bias regarding Donald Trump. As per an article entitled Seeking Evidence of The MAGA Cult and Trump Derangement Syndrome: An Examination of (A)symmetric Political Bias (www.mdpi.com/2075-4698/11/3/113), results for all three studies reveal that Trump supporters consistently showed bias in favor of the interests and ostensible positions of Trump, whereas Trump’s detractors did not show an opposing bias. The fact that political bias is not symmetrical in the United States should be apparent not only from research on the psychological differences between liberals and conservatives, but also from political realities taking place in America. * Studies: 1. Psychology, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Researcher, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI 48859, USA 2. Both are puppets .And i would bet that at some point they will have a falling out .
Given the personalities involved, your bet seems pretty sound.
Kamala is a puppet...she was installed as VP for DEI reasons, and she never had to face any challengers from the democrat party in the Presidential race.
You raise very valid points, although this particular episode was not about Kamala Harris.
I don't think either of them feel that they're in a Bromance - I think they both think they are coyly leveraging the other guy for their personal gain. They both think THEY are the puppet master. It is 100% Trumps m.o. to use/abuse a person to the max and then shamelessly discard them completely - so he will do that to Elon soon enough. Trump is a pathetic human being, where loyalty is a one way street - but he is inexplicably popular. The world will be better off when he is gone. Elon, on the other hand, has actually accomplished a lot and will continue to do so, but is admired by very few (Pat seems to be in love with him lol), and would never win any popularity contests - he is simply unrelatable, and he is weird. His wealth can get shit done, if he doesn't go rogue. In both cases, the dynasty ends with them. Trump kids are greasy morons and cannot continue building "the Trump empire." Elon is a one-in-a-zillion kinda guy - his offspring simply can't replicate him.
Interesting perspective. Thanks for joining the conversation.
It helps if you actually use the mics.

Historically, issues like taxation, gun control, abortion, and immigration determined who might be labeled a Republican in Name Only (RINO) for not conforming to the party line. In recent years, the disparaging term has been applied to Republicans who appear disloyal to Donald Trump or disagree with his views.
Our first 7 president's starting with Washington were convicted felons I'm just saying
Your comment piqued our curiosity but we could not find any evidence that the first seven POTUS were convicted felons in any encyclopedia or other recognized publication. We would greatly appreciate if you could provide a reference (i.e., history book, encyclopedia, etc.). Thanks!
He built a 20 foot section of the wall.Lol
According to the Wall Street Journal, about 500 miles of wall (which is actually a 30-foot fence) was built across the 2,000-mile southern border. But most of that either replaced sections of existing border fencing (which was shorter) or built a second layer of fencing in areas where some primary fencing already existed. Very few areas got entirely new wall where no previous barrier existed.
You mean miles
Another four years of entertaining television to put it nicely .
What about a man's abortion right? Reproductive choice for men? "My body, my wallet, my choice!" (And, of course, I'm talking about after he has contributed to the conception of of a fetus or baby. ...You can't just come back and say, "Well, keep your pants zipped up!" because the retort to women will be, "Well, just keep your skirt down!" ...So, we are talking about choices AFTER conception has occurred.) It's like Dave Chappelle said, "And, ladies, to be fair to us, I also believe that if you decide to have the baby, the man should not have to pay! That's fair! ....If you can KILL this M-F, I can at least abandon him!" It could be accomplished by the following legal principle (and process): Upon learning of the possibility that he has impregnated a woman (whether the woman is still pregnant or even if she has already given birth), the man should have the right to file within thirty days (of learning of this possibility) an affidavit in a county court (along with paying a process server to attempt to serve a copy of the document to the woman in question), sending with it a finite payment representing his share of the nominal cost of an abortion -- an RLOP -- a Repudiation of Legally-Obligated Paternity. Mere biological paternity should no more bind a man than it should a woman who wants an abortion. If he follows the foregoing described process, a court should accept it and agree he has exercised his right to choose not be the obligated father to the child. Choice for BOTH sexes!
First off, thanks for listening and adding your voice to the discussion. We can likely agree this is a complex topic with very real societal implications. In an ideal world, every child would have loving parents capable of providing for all their needs...but reality is far from ideal. You bring up the topic of financial support which can certainly be debated, but we can also add the societal implications of single mother households and their contribution to poverty, drug use and crime. Men can choose to step away, but society has to deal with the consequences.

When does life begin? I like Monty Pythons definition: Every sperm is sacred lol
Birth control is not a 50/50 responsibility. It is a 100/100 responsibility. Each person must take 100% ownership of birth control. Abortions are a necessary evil IF the birth control failed and she does not want to be a mother. Mistakes happen... in that case SHE can decide to terminate the pregnancy - no other person on this planet can override that decision. ..in my opinion
Dom's right - it's not just about 9 months, it's about a lifetime. The only person that can decide, and MUST have the ability to decide, is the mother. End of conversation. However, decide sooner than later if you are going to have an abortion - obviously. And, abortion is NOT a form of birth control.
I love Ken Dryden too. A Great Celebrity Role model!!!
Aki and Dom are also wrong: Celebrity, in no way, dictates that you should be responsible to your audience.
Nurhan is right - just because you become popular, does mean you must be authentic nor a role model. A perfect example is Trump: He is a very popular celebrity, prentending to be something that he absolutelty is not - a success and best at everything. He actually is a fraud, a failure in many ways, and he is also a terrible human being. He is also under no obligation to be honest nor positive nor good. Do people love him? Yes, very much. Do they want to be like him? Yes!!! They actually want to be him in many ways... So HE has decided to be a celebrity but he is in no way a decent role model. If a celebrity is actually a good role model, it is mearly a coincidence and they are not responsible for being anything, even themselves - good or bad. What Taylor does with her life is nobodies business - nobodies. However, if a person decides to be a celebrity and role model, do they still have to be genuine and good, like a minister? No - not really imho.
The man can have an opinion but ultimately it s the woman s decision. It s her body.
Couples living that live style are an accident waiting to happen .
No point being with someone in a serious way if you are going to play around. If your significant other doesnt make you feel great then move on.
Aki is right about animals in the restaurant: Restaurants are for people, not people and their pet snakes or gorillas. It's not about minding your own business Nurhan, keep your fleabag at home ;)
Thanks for watching. Aki is usually on the right side of the argument when it comes to animals.
Weddings are for the bride. It's her day...or so we have been conditioned to think. I don't know many guys who have ever been excited by a wedding day. It's different for girls. Countless Disney movies end with "They got married and lived happily ever after" so it's no wonder that girls expect a big, perfect, wedding event, with rainbows, glitter, unicorns, and glorious sunsets to follow forever more. Today's girls are also quite concerned with what other people think, they need to impress people...more so than ever I'd say. Industries are capitalizing on it. Marriage is a contract, a commitment, an agreement...with clearly defined terms that need to be respected...or else. So, if you want to be married, go sign documents. If you want a wedding, have a party, and get ready to pay for it yourself. Invite who YOU want to be there, serve what you want them to enjoy, and pay for it yourself. Plain and simple. If you want to spend $5,000 on a dress that you will wear for 6 hours, go ahead and buy it - with your money. You need a video and a photographer, have both, and pay for it yourself. She insists on 10 maids and groomsmen?! Fine, if YOU are paying for it all. Need a white limo - an antique rolls with ivory interior - rent it! It used to be caleches etc. Get everything you want - down to the orchids and embossed cloth napkins... But be prepared to pay for it yourself. It used to be a prize cow was exchanged for the bride... times have changed. Guests and parents MAY and probably will give cash gifts, but you shouldn't really expect other people to pay for your party. Also - If you are in love, draw up a contract, work out the details - then sign it BLINDLY. It's called a prenup: Non negotiable. Sign it blindly. Marriage is a contract! If saying you will love someone in good times and bad, sickness and health, through thick or thin... blah blah blah, then get a prenup and sign it blindly... Love means you don't even need to read it. Marriages are great and are very serious agreements - weddings are financial scams if you let them be.
Nuran making sure no one is in the home when things happen so he leaves the country for months at a time.Lol
There is no set age for a kid to leave home .Its simply when they feel the time is right .

Comment on "is there life out there", answer yes, review the Enrico Fermi theory. Financial acumen. Agreed with Dominic on the rules. In a place like Montreal, median salary is around 65K. Not 40K. Is there people in the 40K range? Yes. But not the majority. And when you say 90% has no financial acumen, I agree. Also a point to be made on expenses control considering that it was mentioned "extra school activities" as an expense: Do we need all what we say it is "basic"? And, what it is basic? I do agree with Pat on entitlement, question is to define the baseline. Last. May be it was a sedge way to the financial administration on a couple, but in current society assuming that because 60K is the median then household income is 120K is false. More than ever people live alone and 60K gross salary does not go a long way.... Proposed topic: An epidemic of narcissism.
