Hot for human hand, not an issue for the device and within operating temp specs.

Hello! What kind of monitor and controller are you using? Some controllers may end up taking in the sound through their headphone port instead of the monitor.

​@@TroveOasisI found the solution thanks, once I pluggled the dock with the Xbox Series XS HDMI 4K cable it worked flawlessly. It seens the Odin dock doesnt work well with some regular HDMI cables (1080p).

Hello, thanks for the comment! I bought an Ultimate Bluetooth controller to compare it to the Ultimate 2.4g controller (the version with Xbox face buttons). I can confirm the same symptoms. It only connects via Bluetooth as a Switch Pro Controller with slightly higher input delay compared to the Ultimate 2.4g. Both the Ultimate 2.4g and Pro 2 used in this video still work with the Odin 2. I haven’t found a solution to make the 2.4g receiver of the Ultimate Bluetooth variant work on Android. I’ll send a new reply if I find one. Hope you can get yours working! :)

@ thanks for your reply and findings! With further reading, it seems the 2.4g version is the only one that will work with the dongle on android. In fairness to 8bitdo they are fairly clear in their product descriptions that the ultimate Bluetooth version is Switch focused. I’d wrongly assumed that it’d work with the dongle since I had other 8bitdo controllers like the neo geo one that work just fine. Like you, I’ve found it’ll connect over Bluetooth but with a fairly hefty lag. I’m not usually too sensitive to that but it’s definitely apparent. Since these findings I’ve ordered a 2.4g version with their current discounts. Botha should prove useful so I’m okay with having one for each use case. Thanks again, and happy gaming!

Hello! Being on the factory reset screen for almost an hour does feel very long. It usually lasts 15-20 minutes during our testing. It sounds like muOS is having trouble setting up or partitioning the SD card. Did you use Rufus to flash muOS to the SD card? Some tools are unable to flash muOS properly. If you are using Rufus, it’s possible that you need to re-download the IMG file. Hope this helps! :)

Hello! Unfortunately, I don’t have an 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth controller to test with the Odin 2. Unlike the 2.4g controller shown in this video, the Ultimate Bluetooth does not officially support Android. This is likely because the Ultimate Bluetooth appears as a Switch controller on Android. The Ultimate 2.4g controller in this video does support Android via a bluetooth connection though. Hope this helps! :)

Hello! If you’re using the same controller the next time you dock the Odin 2, you can just select the controller profiles you created when you first set up your emulators with the docked controller. If this is the case, you wouldn’t need to manually remap each button again. The only exception is RetroArch, which should automatically select the new profile. Hope this helps! :)

It depends on the emulator, but all of the ones I’ve tested do not have a noticeable limit on the number of controller profiles. :)

Hello! The 2.4g receiver works with Windows, Android, and Steam Deck. It also works with the Switch, but you’ll need to use a hidden function (minus + LB). The 8BitDo receiver has a 2.4g receiver, which theoretically means there’s less interference between it and other Bluetooth signals, and less input lag. Hope this helps! :)

Hello! We just tested 2 Xbox One S Bluetooth controllers with the Odin 2. We got both controllers paired and mapped in emulators but found occasional delayed or missed inputs while playing fast-paced games. If this is the issue you are experiencing, we reduced this lag by having one controller paired to a Bluetooth adapter (for us an 8BitDo Wireless Adapter 2 in D-Input mode) and the other paired directly to the Odin 2. Hope this helps! :) EDIT: We also disabled the Odin 2 controller from the quick toggles menu before connecting the Xbox controllers to allow one of them to be automatically mapped as Port 1, that may also help.

Hello! There’s no problem with the Magic Keyboard if you are only intending to use it with a single Mac and you need the option for Touch ID. However, I usually need to use this keyboard with other non-Apple devices, and the ability to easily connect 2 other devices without unpairing from the Mac is useful to me. The use with non-Apple devices is also why I didn’t get the version of this keyboard with the Mac-only layout. Hope this helps! :)

Hello! This depends on the emulator that you are using. For RetroArch, we mapped a “Quit RetroArch” hotkey combination using Select + Start, which would also work when using the Odin’s own controller. For other emulators, we haven’t set them up to be exited using a controller. Right now, we use “Windows + Enter” on a keyboard we plugged in to the dock to act as a Home key, and “Windows + Backspace” to act as a Back key throughout Android. These act identically to the Home and Back buttons on the Odin in our experience. We personally use a Rii RK707 mini keyboard, touchpad and controller combo. Though, we usually only use the keyboard and touchpad part. Hope this helps! :)
