What's REALLY Wrong with Mufasa The Lion King?
Disney has released Mufasa the Lion King where explores Mufasa's brother and his back story and we are gonna review it.
Even though we already know what happen in the story I find out to know the Mufasa's back story is something interesting to see, but I stan with the idea that this movie would've been better if they decided to tell the story from a different perspective.
What do you think guys? Let me know your thoughts in the comments

THEN vs NOW! What's REALLY Changed in Movies
มุมมอง 54721 วันที่ผ่านมา
Movies and the way how people watch them have been changing. In today's video we are going to talk about the reasons that I think fewer people prefer to watch a movie at home instead of the theater. where do you prefer watch a movie? Please leave a comment below, I'd like to know your thoughts about it IG: fnandeep
POV: After the stampede scene Taka: “And so, this is my villain arc…”
FFS Mufasa is the King of Milele/the Pridelands, scar was a prince and to be king of another region entirely so he's not the right ful king of Milele, he could have gone back to rule his own lands if he wanted to there was no boundary anyways, and that is where the problem in the movie lies, so those who say scar is the rightful King are wrong as these lands didn't have a king then to begin with, Mufasa was the First king in a long time, if there were other kings of the land before he arrived to rule it. So don't go dragging my GOAT's name through the mud😡
I think it could have worked better if Mufasa was fully accepted into his new pride and got all the praise, making Taka feel like his family loves a stranger more than him. That would cause resentment from the beginning of their brotherhood, and be way more convincing than yet another love triangle. Also, I don't see why Kiros wants to kill literally all of the other lions, let alone how he managed to do it (except for the remaining ones in Milele). Like, he wants to be king, sure, but why not just kill the other kings and take over their prides, so he can grow his army?
Rafiki didn't tell the story not to Simba's son, but to his daughter, Kiara, instead. Althought I would have preferred that Kopa would have appeared instead of Kiara.
The villian has to make sense. Mufasa never betrayed Scar. Sarabi didn't like Scar, she liked Mufasa. That is not a conflict. The betrayed did not make sense so the entire story is weak.
OK, first of all, I don’t care what you haters say. Y'all can say whatever y’all want. The movie is iconic and you guys are mad because the movie is dope. my favorite song is I always wanted a brother. The only thing I wish is that it was longer.
I respect your opinion and it's fine if you like the movie but it doesn't mean that Disney wasted a good opportunity to make a masterpiece with Scar's backstory
Iconic? Yeah no. That's just straight false.
yea, Takas villain origin story really sucks.. especially since he tried to kill a kid and his brother in the actual 'Lion king'... his story would need to be way more tragic for him to completely go off the deep end like that.
I agree completely with you. The reasons why they showed don't justify his evilness. Unfortunately it is what it is.. hopefully they don't make the same mistake in future prequels!
Exactly!
I mean, just imagine you're a prince, fed the thought that you're destined for the throne. And you fall in love with a woman, and your brother who's the closest to you, steals both the throne and the woman you love especially after you said you love her...and then get caught while trying to betray your brother and given bare minimum to eat for the rest of your life... honestly it's justified, mufasa stole his reason for living (the throne) and his first love (sarabi) so it's only natural scar will try to overthrow mufasa to get his destiny and woman
Or less tragic since Scar was one of Disney's most evil villains who enjoys his wicked deeds with pleasure and zero remorse, especially killing Mufasa so having the origin story be less tragic would help solve the problem since that6 doesn't suit him. Good thing The Lion Guard backstory doesn't feature tragic or sympathetic in it.
@@doomslayer5330 they only knew the girl for like a day though, and yet he decided to betray his brother who he literally grew up with, over a girl they knew for one day... Which is another reason I think the movie 'Mufasa' did a terrible job, because they made Taka seem like he doesn't care about the throne at all, but in 'The lion king' he doesn't care about girls at all. The character development in Taka makes no sense.
I think the film makers intended to keep the story simple so that kids can follow. I personally felt that some places actually had room to go deep. I don't agree with the plot of betraying brother who's been together for so many years just for a girl known for a week. The intensity of scar's character in previous film and his evil strategies was 🔥. But in this film they showed him like a stupid. Takka never wished for the throne and his character throughout was so innocent and lovable, then how did scar got so much hate, evil and greed towards mufasa?
I agree with your comment but "keeping the story simple for kids" part.. A great story is one that anyone can follow without hesitation, regardless of who is watching. Take a quick look at some classic Disney movies like Ratatouille or Monsters University. At first glance, they are easy to follow and enjoyable for both kids and adults. However, when you rewatch them later, you realize there’s a deeper meaning to the story, even though the plot remains simple to follow. I really appreciate your comment! thanks for sharing your opinion
I would not care if it was focused on Mufasa or scar just as long as it was the backstory of both of them. Maybe they could have called it Mufasa and Scar the lion king. As long as both of them were in it I didn't care who it focused on. I think they had an equal share of screen time except Mufasa had a little bit more towards the beginning. In the middle of the pond. There's not much to see on scar side other than him being born and waiting to get a brother. At least I'm Mufasa side his parents died or got washed away in a flood and Mufasa got separated which is more action packed than watching scar just get bored and waiting to find a brother. Mufasa but as I said. I always wanted to know what happened in between the two brothers. It doesn't matter who the movie focused on. It was going to tell us how scared evil regardless. It was good except I was expecting a Mufasa and Scar fight at the end. I enjoyed the movie and left speechless.
The movie is not trash I’m standing with the idea that it could be better. They could create an interesting background of Scar’s past from scratch because we didn’t really now much. Saying that “there is not much to say” it doesn’t make sense due to they could have created something completely unexpected. (A clear example is Better Call Saul, they created a whole new story based on some characters and events that happened in the original show Breaking Bad) and I think they could’ve done something similar in this situation and they just wasted that chance.. However, I like the risky idea of Scar and Mufasa weren’t real brothers but the execution was disappointing and you can see with Scar’s motivations and regrets about his decision, everything happened really quick
I don't care you or any other hater says. I loved this movie. I loved it so much I watched it three more times. We all know what happened. We wanted to know how it happened. Did you even watch the movie or are you just getting all this footage from trailers. Go watch it instead of talking shit about it. Professional critics gave it 4 stars. You are not a professional critic so please stop manipulating people not to go watch it because of you don't like it.
Dude you can cry as much as you want but that doesn't change the fact they wasted a good opportunity to build something better with Scar's past. Also professional critics give this movie less than 60% of acceptance and I gave my opinion as someone whom studied cinema saying that Scar's motivations are not clear and they are quite vague.. Next time watch the video with the monitor on
Is not about hating on the movie, it's about the movie disrespecting the original animation movies, the fact that the live version is saying that Mufasa and Scar aren't actual brothers go against the whole plot of the first movie, when the actual fact is that they are brothers and there's a whole truth origin story to Mufasa and Scar that was in a animation show, Because of this live version now for the people who don't know the truth storyline of Mufasa and Scar are now getting confused when someone tells them all about the animation show of Mufasa and Scar real background storyline, It's not about people hating on a live version it's about why the hell have they changed what made Lion king's story so much beloved and learning what the storyline was all about with Scar trying to kill his brother and his Nephew Simba only for now that the live version is saying that the animation movies are wrong because they not actual brothers, it makes the point of the original not making sense if your going off from the live version, That's like Disney wanting to change star wars where Luke and Vader aren't really father and son, because Luke is adopted, it dosen't make sense dose it? 🙄 The story was already made for them, why change it, am sorry but the live version are always going to be trash no matter what, which is a shame because I did like the idea of the live versions but they changed what made the storyline that it was!!!
I really appreciate your comment bro! I didn’t know there is a animated show about Scar and Mufasa’s backstory, i will take a look bth To be fare this life action was better than the last one but it could have been better :)
@@Fnandeep Yeah am not here to stop anyone from enjoy anything only to let others know that they is a real reason why a lot don't like the live versions because it's not honouring to the original, this why a lot don't like when Disney race swapping characters, same with storyline you can make up a new plot for something but you can never change something that exist and is already been know to people around the world what that storyline is, if anyone who can accept a storyline to be changed and are fine with it then what's the point of even watching a movie if later on in the future it's going to be change?, but yeah am not saying that the live version isn't good just that it dosen't honour the actual storyline then it's going to be always trash to lot who don't like it, And am not commenting against others who do want to watch the live versions because am only making a point to why some people don't like it, and yeah I don't know if you can watch the animation show of Mufasa and Scar actual storyline on TH-cam but if you look it up on TH-cam someone might have upload them, I think it's in seasons or something :)
Love the video so much it was meaningful
"Happiness is self fulfilment. If a person neglects fulfilling any capacity or trait that he has, there is an inherent feeling of unhappines", [Rabbi Dr. Avraham J. Twerski]
This quote hits hard!
You touched a wound that I thought was closed, very nice video bro I want to make my dreams come true like that little kiwi ;)
Thank you so much!
I still prefering to watch a movie on a theater, but you're right, nowadays it's just spend a lot of money for a regular experience most of the time. Nice video bro :D
I love to watch a movie on 4DX🤔
You are going because the experience of the theater room, not due to the movie perse... interesting
Man. Reshooting an animated movie like How to to train your dragon frame by frame is hardly an adaptation, it's the worst type of effortless nostalgia bait. What's even the point?
I guess the quality of movies nowadays is that low that I settle for that(? To be honest I won't watch it at the theater, it's pointless because it's the same movie and they will release it 3 months later on their streaming platform. Thank you for your comment and support!
i am not even exited for the live action how to train your dragon, because its just a frame by frame remake with a weird dull colorgrading. I dont understand why they did that movie (money), because they got it right the first time and animation isnt a lesser form of art. I am a huge fan but i am debating about even watching that movie in the cinema, because there is nothing new for me in it
It's quite depressing when they just reshoot a movie without something new. Nostalgia is strong but mine can wait until they release it on their streaming platform!
video tesao meu piazinho, não entendi uma porra q vc falou, mas a edição ficou mt boa ✌🔥
Yo! I don’t speak Portuguese but I really appreciate your comment and support 🙌🫶
It's comforting to see that people like you are showing how bad the situation is for the cinema industry nowadays. Cinema is not just about movies, it's about memories, feelings and creativity. Well done, mate <3

Ty, tears, my poor soul. I always wanted my own family. No matter what I do it wasn't enough and I could never do it. It's as if it was not meant for me. Everyone has dreams yet I wonder that if I did have my own family if that would never fill my heart because what I really wanted was my family to want me and it wasn't low self-esteem I liked myself I just didn't understand why my family never liked me.
As long as you love yourself you will be ok 🫶
Ty, you are so wonderful, my heart aches too
