    I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

      I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

    They make little flat and cheap rubber round sheets for this exact purpose. Super cheap, last forever, they used to just hand them out in stores. I would assume the older style natural rubber ones might work better than the silicone ones.

    Turn me Royal is the Company I went through and although I love my picture it's photoshopped instead of being hand painted. 3 separate parts from the ad commercial, their mission statement and then when you have your reveal to accept and have your order sent to your artist is suggesting that it's hand painted. Today I was responded to via email telling me they are not advertising that it's hand painted. Um yes it is three different ways.

    I was scammed last year by a company called Royal Portraits if I remember the name right. They lied to me repeatedly about how they were going to get me my order. I talked to actual people on the phone. This went on for months until they disappeared from the Internet entirely. I only saw this vid a few days after I ordered from Turn Me Royal. I felt really stupid to have been scammed again, but then I realized that this company sent me the finished photo for approval, and I'd already gotten notice that it was on the way. It just arrived today. It looks amazing. I took it to Michael's and spent way too much getting a fancy frame, which will be ready within two weeks. Can't wait to deliver it. I believe the claim that what the company does is probably something you could do yourself, but I don't know how to do it. I'm very happy with my product and feel I got my money's worth.

    I am sorry, but attachment and love is way too complicated a topic for you to be so clear cut in what is a bad relationship and what is not. Never being (and becoming) sure is also a sign of an unhealed avoidant or fearful avoidant attachmentstyle. These people will now leave a relationship to find another where they will be chronically unsure thanks to your great advice. Now, what qualifies you to be so sure?

    Hi Mellissa!! I just watched your video and I love how it was short and to the point it really helped a lot. I'm 17 and I am unsure of what to do. I met this guy months back because he helped tutor me with some homework and we ended up having a great conversation. We said our goodbyes but never exchanged numbers. Fast forward months later my mom tells me he asked for my number and so I said yes I would love to have his number. We spoke on the phone/text for a while (because I was on vacation at the time) and I noticed we were very similar and we had the same thought process which I thought was really good. So because of that I started to like him. When I returned from the vacation we finally met in person. We only met around my other friends and we met a few times like that. In those few times I noticed he was very quiet around others and that I didn't really like him but I did notice he immediately showed interest in me which I told him I'm unsure and I still need more time to get to know him. In those times we did hang out I still wanted to get to know him though because I thought maybe we just need more time and maybe we just need to have a good conversation to get the connection going. Fast forward a few weeks and I finally decide I'm ready to just see him and only him. So we go out together and I really enjoy it I felt like there is potential because we shared a little more and I still notice we have things in common. So we keep hanging out just the two of us and we are getting closer and closer and holding hands/hugging but many times I find myself questioning things such as if he's the one I want to be with or if I really like him or just attached. I have also realized my feelings come and go quickly and they don't seem to be stable all the time. Something minor could happen and suddenly the feelings go down again. I also think it could be I'm just really overthinking it too. I was also wondering if I should tell him about this or not because I want to be honest but I'm afraid it might also discourage him. We started talking I think in December and then met in person in January and then probably just went out just the two of us sometime in February or late January. So I'm not sure if to give it more time or what because he always tells me he has strong feelings and that he feels his heart race when I'm around but I don't feel those things and I don't know why. So in summary I really don't know what to do because I want to be honest with myself and him and I really need to know what to do. If you could please give me advice on this situation I would really really appreciate it.

    • @MelissaDargan
      @MelissaDargan ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! It depends on (1) where you live, (2) if where you live offers parking and (3) does the internship offer parking?Relying on street parking can be hard. DC also has a great metro system. So if you are living by any of the metro stops and feel safe to walk - public transportation may be the way to go!

    Just a FYI - before one can compare a Roth to Regular TSP you must know EXACTLY how the state you work in now taxes the pension of a federal civil servant. Approx. 9 states that normally have income taxes (e.g. NY and PA) consider the TSP "part of" their civil servants pension and DO NOT tax it on withdrawal in retirement. This is significant because if you work in one of these states (and assuming you will retire there) and contribute to the regular TSP - you can escape state taxes altogether (which are not insignificant in states like NY) by contributing to the regular TSP. As unbelievable as it seems the money is not state taxed going into the regular TSP AND it is not state taxed when withdrawn as it is considered "part of" the civil servants pension in these states. However - if you contribute to the Roth TSP - you will pay state taxes on the money going in. Everything else being equal- you are actually losing money by contributing to the Roth TSP instead of the regular TSP in these states.

    Hey Melissia Great Video. Here is my question. I have roughly about $30,000 in my TSP. I been retire from the US Army for 6years now and currently working as a teacher. I foresee myself (with God help) teaching for the next 18 years. After watching your video, My question is this. Would it be smart to change my funds to the C and S funds or invest these funds into another account. Yes, I do have other accounts from being a teacher and one or two I do on my own. And yes, I don t need this money now. I just want to make a smarter investment with this money for the next 18 to 20 years.
