The Omani Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OSOG) were founded in June 2013 with a main objective of promoting the update and improvement in this important area of clinical medicine. OSOG have more then 200 members who are obstetricians and gynecologist from various health care institutions in Oman, private as well as government hospitals. The Society’s main activities are therefore focused on five main areas:
•\tTo promote and maintain a high standard in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Oman and to foster a sense of professional ethic In dealing with patients and health care professionals
•\tTo encourage study and research into problems related to and connected with the health of women, the fetus and new-born child.
•\tTo hold meetings for scientific discussions and practical demonstrations that are consistent with the objectives of the Society.
•\tTo promote co-operation with Organizations relevant to the Society, the Government and Institutions of higher learning in the country.
