I have been so entertained by these driving tours of SF. Was raised in Alameda, moved to SF in 1972, left for Sacramento in 89. Worst mistake of my life. Thanks for the vids and keep them coming. Absolutely the best City in the world.

This is one of my favorite places in San Francisco. I love the views and the stairs are not too bad, take your time and you'll make it to the top no problem! I love the fact that this is an *actual* street. It has fire hydrants, garbage collection and a whole lot of awesomeness provided by the neighbors and their fantastic gardens. Some years ago, there were parrots living in this area and they were very friendly, You can search "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" and see how the feral flock used to hang out in the area.

At 6:19, you emerge from the Filbert Steps onto 1400 Montgomery Street. Why don't you simply continue up those steps seen directly across the Montgomery Street? Instead you transition between shots at 6:34 and start up the Greenwich Steps further down the street! Why would you do this?? For those utterly confused by this video, the steps shown in this video at 6:34 are NOT the Filbert Steps--they are the continuation of the Greenwich Steps! Access the Greenwich Steps shown in this video by turning RIGHT on Montgomery and walking 50 yards to the end of Montgomery--the Greenwich Steps will be on the left. If you want to continue following the Filbert Steps up to Coit Tower, just cross Montgomery Street and walk up the steps directly across the street, and at the top of the short stairs, cross "upper" Montgomery Street and continue the Filbert Steps by taking either left of right steps seen directly across Montgomery Street.
