Big thank you to kitchen and cosmic in this video I was only gonna do the first stage but These two are the example of an awesome team and ran past each stage with no difficulty. In todays video we will be going over plasma Gatling vs gauss mini gun with anti armor and rapid fire and reload speed the same perks and same mutations overall both are good but it’s sad to say that the Gatling beat the gauss by a long shot and is overall better for the raids and is definitely better using vats which we used no vats in this one just to make it fair if it was vats build then no doubt gat plas would win again

U can actually get the damage over 90 DPS with polished if you repair the gat plas at your weapons bench with the weapon repair card and repair it to 200%. If u simply use the advanced repair kit it will repair the gat plas to 150% and that will still give u over 80 DPS

Nice vid man. I want to know if the gat plas or even a gauss mini do more damage with 4 star POLISHED or Pin pointers.Gat plas of course needs to be ran with AA, FF and stinging core. I put pinpointers on my Gauss mini But I would like to see a comparison. I think the choo choo build would be great with the plasma Castor for the ranged enemies that are not grouped up

@@the_chunky_bear my favorites weapon would probably have to be the auto axe just for its high damage output and I domr use weapons often but I had to choose one it would definitely be the plasma Gatling and I would run anti armor crit or Weapon speed snd reload speed

Once one understands how damage reduction works compared to damage resistance, it's easy to realize that reducing a % of incoming damage before you even take it is better than plain old DR. Go Overeaters. It's so damn easy to stay well fed and hydrated - a pemmican collector and a water purifier or two in your camp is all you need.

So I've been doing a lot of experimenting with different PA sets when I go against the raid turret boss. Troubleshooters is the best against the turret boss but you can run any PA set up with the right legendaries. If u do not get a reflective 4 star I find that having sentinels with some tankys works on any armor. I have a full set of vanguards, Overeaters, Bolstering and Troubleshooters. I have to spam stimpaks with every armor when I solo the boss. For everyday use I'm sure any armor will work with sentinels and some tankys. I even have a PA set with ONLY intelligence legendaries and some sentinel pieces with a couple tankys. I use it for leveling up. It gets me almost 40k XP every time I solo the turret boss. Even with that intelligence set I'm able to solo but it takes way more Stim spamming. In conclusion use whatever armor you want but you will need good 3 and 4 star legendaries to be Tanky
@@frankblack1014 yep most definitely the best mods for each stage for the first one is troubleshooters and for the second stage propelling and so on from there overeater or vanguard with some sent here and there and fourth being whatever you prefer, any armor is overall fine and no hate to either armor people use out in the wasteland!

@ legendary mods? I would personally run over eater just for the best overall reduction damage and then second star would be powered and third sent but it’s broken for damage wise I would run scanners or rangers and for defense aegis, I usually always use the jet pack

As far as I know Sentinal is bugged right now and a liability. I took mine off. The Turtle made a video about it with testing. Its a bummer.

@@milkyy_cal I thought it was something crazy like with a full set, the 25% of the time it doesn't work, you don't get any of your normal defense, its like your naked 25% of the time. Which could be fun but not while being shot by a super mutant =)

i is not a power armor user at all...i run raids in a full set of overeaters secret service armor with luck/poison resistance and have no problems doing the raids...4sure don't need power armor for raids
Don’t need it but it definitely helps! Also there are probably other power armor users in your groups when you do it for the third stage for sure.

Why overeaters? With full vanguard i have 1k in both energy and damage resistance. Adding the aegis mods will make that 1250 each... if your build is to prot buleltshield you want your damage resistance high, not damage reduction. You are lossing alot of damage from bulletshield with overeaters.
I either use vanguard or regenerating while playing full health. Vanguard for raids regenerating for daily ops. The raid's third stage sniper stands no chance against full vanguard and bullet shield. You shouldn't listen to most TH-camrs, most of them are more worried about putting out content than the content it's self. Something i learned 400 or 500 levels ago. If you think vanguard is good, try bolstering on PA with emergency protocols.
@@johnnyirish7940 they’re all good no shame to the mods and I used to run emergency protocols but switched to the jet pack for some parts of the raid
Nice work testing these, been interested in doing Vangaurds and Aegis on Vulcan with high END just to see how high the numbers can go.
@@Metalweasel running aegis would help to see how high the number can go unless you prefer rangers or scanners

Extra damage resistance beyond what the power armor itself provides (not counting environmental) is mostly useless as there is a soft cap on it. % damage mitigation is ALWAYS better.

Ngl for the raids I made my Vulcan OE then put 2 Vanguards with my OE. I think it works well vs a full set of OE or Vangaurd lol idk
@@angay9614 most likey causs vanguard is good with the high number maybe vanguard is better at its peak but once you get hit of hard then oe clears
@ eh I run vamp guns so I quite literally never die lol my damage resistance is typically 920 & I put out 580 for dmg with my Gatling plasma & 1000+ for crits, bloodied or full heath. It’s even higher bloodied. I’m a causal bloodied player & this full health build ain’t half bad tbh lol I just miss out on my high dmg being bloodied 🥲

imo its not worth the 4th star slot. you have multiple cards that boosts resistances and even have the funky duds card for even more poison resistance. i have 5/5 rejuv and its pretty good but im working on getting spotters or whatever its called that decreases ap cost on weapons.
