All the people complaining about you being on the pavement are probably the same sort that would complain about you being on the road. I live on the island and all anyone does is complain. About Litterally everything.

Wow, much faster than a van. How fast are you cracking along? How much are you carrying?
E-assist up to 15mph, but it will go faster downhill :) Only about 30kg on this run, our other bikes will take up to 150kg (or 600l)

Thanks for all the non-locals commenting. This section of Fairlee Road is a shared path - but we've got much better cycling infrastructure elsewhere on the island ❤

I think it's referencing the fact that the cargo bike can do the delivery, where a van would be stuck in the traffic. I don't think they're racing a particular van.
Riding on a pavement is on offence
So cyclists really do use the pavement when it suits them? See this isbwhy i dont get upset when they fall off with or without the aid of a motorvehicle.
It's even more common to see cars parked on pavements. That's why I don't get upset when motorists have crashes.
