I like to learn about applying established oil drilling techniques to new or deeper environments. I hope the experts who are speaking can define the terms they are using so average people like myself can understand what they are talking about. Otherwise it is very difficult to understand. Smart people using language nobody else can understanding. I do know that salespeople are trained to use ambiguous language to confuse customers. In reality the salespeople who use ambiguous language have no idea what they themselves are talking about. It just sales garbage designed to confuse customers and sell them something.

The advances in drilling technology are mind boggling. In some respects, oil exploration and exploitation are more challenging than the space program. But all of the easy oil is gone, so we are forced to go deep. And most of the planet is covered with water, so that is where the oil will be. And we are going to be using oil for generations to come.

I worked on the Sonat Discovery 534 Offshore Lousiana.Back before Sonat sold to Transocean.Working in Marine Dept open door for me to get my MMD/MMC,Now with MSC 28 years been awesome.From a Drillship to US NAVY Ships.I miss fishing in Mississippi Canyon 120 miles off Venice La.It's 6000 ft deep water.Lots more opportunities today if you take time to look.
