Greetings to Shining River. I really enjoyed your home concert. You seem to be right in the spirit-zone this month. "Sweet Baby Jesus" was a new one for me, and perhaps my favorite for the performance. The absence of the "news ticker" (crawler/chyron), I believe, made for a more relaxed viewing pleasure, and at the same time helps to provide a quiet elegance to the video performance. (certainly if it reduces the outreach of your ministry, you could always reintroduce!) I was just curious why you don't on occasion invite you husband to join you in a duet, since he must be very musical, and a contributor to your "songbag." I think many of your viewers would be happy to see your artistic skills reflected as a partnership. Wishing you the Merriest Musical Magical Christmas and blessings in the coming new year.

When I first saw the picture with the words "Be not Afraid", I thought it was of a brain/black head with a sinister eye on the right side of the picture (actually right above your kitty's tail). As today is Halloween, may all who read this realize that "greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4b KJV Yes, because of Christ we are "Set Free From Fear." Help us walk in that truth, Lord! In Your mighty name, Jesus, amen.

Praise the Lord. Unfortunately, Lisa, I have not been tuning in for a month or two, as I Seem to be non-stop occupied with other busy things. So Glad that you are still singing and trying to spread the joy that only flows from the stream of living water. I only had time to tune in for about 20 minutes this evening. One of my faves is "This is My Father's World." It captures all of that fragrant beauty of nature, as does only a few other tunes, like "All Creatures of Our God and King", "How Great Thou Art" and (of course) "Blossom!" The Psalm 84 is so beautiful but with a different lyrical twist.. Is the melody something original? I loved it's soaring flow. You are inspired. As usual your unique blend of sincerity, simplicity, serene vocals, joy and seasoned musicianship make for a wonderful listening experience. What a friend we have in Jesus.

God's mercy triumphs over His judgment, praise His holy name. Just saw this beautiful passage at the end of Hosea. That book is hard to read due to the profound judgment of God upon His continually wandering people. After speaking of such things, it suddenly says this (which reminded me of this blog/podcast episode): "I will heal their apostasy; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them. I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon; his shoots shall spread out; his beauty shall be like the olive, and his fragrance like Lebanon. They shall return and dwell beneath my shadow; they shall flourish like the grain; they shall blossom like the vine; their fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon." (Hosea 14:4-7 ESV) He does that healing through Jesus. God is still the same. Our sinful, wandering hearts still deserve judgment. If you have never submitted your heart to Jesus Christ and turned to Him, today is a good day to REPENT (turn around and go toward Him). He is not willing that any should perish (see 2 Peter 3:9). It's our choice whether to follow Him or not. If we don't, we choose the judgment for our sin. If we do follow Jesus, the passage above will be the result. I pray that you choose Jesus....

The "commentator" will have to chime in, given the vast silence out there! T'was a Nice concert. I really loved the "Eye in on the Sparrow" - that ol' traditional hymn. Your vocal took flight. You've still "got it." I think somebody has his eye on you! :) It is so grand that you do some of the old hymnal stuff, like Rock of Ages another, wonderful and personally creative rendition. So oddly enough, my favorite tune this week WAS "Move on!" The version herein is a lot slower and more mellow than the one I'm used to hearing. I like them both. The album cut on Sacred Sojourn, I listen to frequently,. It is really punchy and intense and reminds me of perhaps an older adult giving sincere advice to an adult child who has fallen on hard times and bad karma. The other song I'm really liking is "You are my confidence." Even though it is a very heart- felt testimony about finding courage in God, the rhythmic variety and complexity are sort of "joyful." It leaves me wondering if the whole crystalized beat-box was the result of a massive overdose of listening to KC and the Sunshine Band albums when you were a kid! :) :) ?????? Good podcast Lisa! I love the way the Lord has made so much of His will obvious in His Word. Things like rejoicing, praying and giving thanks, in 1 Thes 5:16-18. And our sanctification and sexual purity, in 1 Thes 4:3. Also doing good in 1 Peter 2:15. Actually the Word is full of His will, and as we seek to keep His commands in our hearts and before our eyes, He will conform our lives to His will more and more. As for discerning His will in a specific decision like yours, Proverbs 3:5-6 gives great wisdom. We trust Him and not our own thoughts, and acknowledge Him as He leads us moment by moment, and it becomes clear. When we ask for wisdom, as James tells us in James 1:5-6a, we should not doubt that He's giving us that wisdom! Just like you are saying, Lisa, as we lay ourselves on His altar and renew our minds in His Word, Romans 12:1-2, we will be able to discern His will. We give You glory today, Lord! And hopefully, as we stay close to You, when we pray for Your will to be done, it will be ours too, for You are working in us to will and to work for Your good pleasure, Php 2:13.

This is such a splendid song. I enjoyed the testimony about some the the rooted experiences that lead to its inspiration. But I guess I just don't "get it." This particular tune is 10 times better than a host of other Christian songs out there, that get all kinds of air-play on smile FM and on TH-cam. It is well crafted, soulful, hauntingly melodious, uses vivid imagery and is sung with clarity and passion. It is not over-produced or in need of any studio gimmicks to make it sound catchy. It is just raw beauty. I will not go off on the predictable mediocrity of oceans of music drifting thru cyberspace these days, only that this song should be bringing down 34 million views not 34. Trust that I am not trying to smooze you for any reason, it is just GOOD, and if I am one of the old school fools who believe inspired tunes should be crafted in the quiet meditative space of nature and not the sound studio or the jam session, then let me stand as a fading light. My new favorite tune this month is "Prodigal Child." Prayers for your "family issues," and may the Lord watch over you and your family and your inspiring musical ministry. I'll have to check out July's thursday concert some evening this week. Currently I have miles to go and promises to keep for the present trajectory. Shalom.

Nice mini-concert for your listeners. Perhaps I mentioned that "Lily of the Valley " is my NEW favorite spiritual tune. NOT that I still don't love "Blossom" but I guess there is a song for every season of the year, and every season of our lives. But what Americans call "lily of the valley" (the mini-lilies) are flowering now here in Michigan, so perhaps there is a connect. ! I also really ad,ore the "Fill this Temple" and "Prodigal Child." Really like the imagery of incense/aroma, and did a mini-study on biblical incense a couple years ago. Seems like only Vatican Catholics use it much in a ritualistic manner. Most Christians look at it as some new age non-sense, and thus it has become non-in-cense in most protestant worship services. I'm at odds with about everybody in my Sabbath school about the Christian use of the word "self" = some spoiled brat in everybody's brain, with insatiable desires and endless demands. So when we push for being "self-less" it really never happens because self is more than the mere satanic brat who is polluting the temple. So when the prodigal son does a 180 deg., I think it is Matthew who says "He came to himself" in NIV. So if "self" is so corrupt, why was it "soul saving" when he "came to himself"?????? Nevertheless, "shooting" for "nothing left but you" is a noble ideal, but after one does a soft landing, there is "self" staring us in the eyes. :) Oh I won't go on with this theo-babble, BUT since nobody else wants to comment, here you have it. Yes, and the cool thing about prodigal child is that it covers sons and daughters, and I've met a couple prodigal daughters in my life. So have a blessed week! Your friend in Jesus.

To my dear viewers! So sorry for the awful audio quality on this livestream. I had issues getting it to connect with YT in the first place, and my computer didn't let me know in advance that I was having "issues" with my audio. And since I wasn't streaming live until this last song, I didn't have any of YOU in the chat to let me know it was cutting out whenever I played the music. I'm going to be tweaking and learning.... Please keep me in prayer. It seemed like everything was finally WORKING yesterday, LOL.... Back to the drawing board I guess. Regardless, I press on as we all do, trusting the Lord to lead. Thank you for desiring to watch this in the first place. BTW, as I said in a reply to Marshall's comment, since I sadly don't have any salvageable video from yesterday, I am going to be putting my efforts into getting a new video out of my "Blossom" song that I sang in last month's livestream, so be watching for that... God bless you all, and thanks so much for your prayers. This is all WAY above my pay grade, and I'm grateful that my true "pay" is being stored up in heaven by the One who is at the helm.🙌

Blessings, Lisa. A spirited rendition of this old standard, your cup running over with endearing emotions. Unfortunately what came out on my computer on your youtube channel was a really bad audio. The talking sounded fair. But on the tech end of the music - not good(for example) from 2:35-2:40 you cut out altogether. Many parts were raspy and sounded like there were pickup issues on both vocals and guitar. Not to take anything away from your delivery which was excellent. I listened to this at 8:40 after I got in from planting some of my garden. The "teaser" with one verse of Blossom, was really clear as a bell, but I assume from a different video/day? as you had on different clothes. Liked the slower tempo, it made all of the beautiful imagery ring a little clearer. I don't know if it is just the season, but I listen to that tune every morning around 5 when I get up. I think I have it memorized at this point. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but the trio of female vocals at the end of "Tree of Life" (all you?) "Healing in its leaves" line from (from Rev.22) is another stroke of musical genius. As, of course, is Blossom. I have never heard a Christian song that wraps in verbal imagery from Eden so gracefully and sensually. You are blessed with talents. And the Master will be pleased with what he has vested in you and your return on his investment.

Really sublime. I assume this is you on the keyboard! You are really talented. BTW. Got both of the CDs, and the messages and lyrics. Thank you. They sat on my desk for a few weeks as I had a lot of stuff going on. Listened to "Fill this Temple" a couple times. Strange but the song that I believe is really a jewel is "Blossom", as not many others listened or gave rave reviews on youtube. You know there are a lot of angelic female vocalists out there in both the spiritual and secular world, and you surely fit into that category, BUT from a songwriting standpoint this Blossom song had the most beautiful verbal imagery, positive uplift and "fragrant" melody of any tune I have heard in a long time. Splendid. Keep up with your love of music, life and God.
