Pump foiling is amazing! I started this new awesome activity in June 2022.
Pumping for a couple of seconds was already an incredible feeling that made it not just a workout for Wingfoil/Surffoil but a great activity on its own.
Two years later I’m capable of things that I thought I would NEVER be able to achieve. My last personal record is pumping for 30min 6,6km long in only one ride after beachstarting… Starting anywhere is not a problem anymore, there are always possibilities. Freestyle tricks like the Superman one are making pump foiling every week more incredible. There are limitless possibilities.
Wherever I pump people are amazed seeing it. Sharing my passion, inspiring foilers, encouraging beginners, giving tips, pushing myself, keeping great souvenirs are the main purposes of my videos :)

Hi ludovic, I want to ask you a question, do you think it is possible to pump with a dakine charger foil with 1600cm² surface? Thanks
@@robinson3848 Hi! Do you have the other specs of this FW, aspect ratio and wingspan? What’s your weight?
@Ludo_freefoiler WS 900mm, AR 5.05, Vol 2.0L My weight is 64kg.
@ yes, this is possible but not the easiest one. It looks like my frontwing from three years ago when I started pumping. So possible 👍 but now they are making FWs much more efficient and still easy to deal with for faster learning. Look at the Trail from Gong, don’t had the chance to test it yet, but looks like a very cool one to get started. The AR of 5 is very low, little glide you will have to push fast on your legs making hard to pump that long. Are you getting started pump foiling?
@@Ludo_freefoiler yes I want to learn pump foil (I'm a winger) Yes, i have seen the gong store and I want to take a sort of definitive foil setup for pumping. Also if this setup is not appropriate for beginners and it will be more difficult to learn pumping. So i was thinking about the sirus xl or xxl (I've seen they have a beatiful glide and are good for long distances) or the trail. Have you seen that they are developing also the ultra trail? What do you think about it? Thank you so much ludovic
@ yes! I’m waiting for the ultra trail 😁 I soon as I can, I will test it. The description of the Trail sounds very good, looks like this one is awesome to get started: easy but still high AR, so lot of glide. Starting with a Sirus might be challenging. This FW doesn’t allow mistakes… better the Trail I think
Are these all v3 generation Sirus foils?
No, all of them are V2 foils!
Hi, Ludovic! Will you try the new Foil Front Wing Trail V3 when it is available? Seems to be interesting! Thank you very much!

@@Thomga1 Salut !

@@lewiss66 Thanks for your message! This sport is amazing, I hope you will enjoy it!! I think the Gong lemon 35L is ok to get started. I started with the Gong Matata 27L. I ordered DW board for Supfoiling as I am not agile for dockstarts. I was analysing few months the videos about Gong V2, but now I see most Sirus V2 are not available to buy, so before summer I will be buying all V3. But I have noticed that most efficient masts 15mm are not supporting wings above 150cm, and also due to new eficient designs all stabs significanty decrieased in size. What used to be 44cm wingspan (250 surface) size M, now is at the 3XL range, and new V3 M is only 35cm wingspan (150cm surface). I hope someone will test that new V3 range feelings and comparability to V2. Also new pump foils Trail and Ultra Trail on the way from Gong......
@@ramunasbajorinas7686 yes, you are totally right, this looks all different with the V3 designs… I haven’t had the chance to test the V3 FW and stabs yet... And yes the Trail and Ultra Trail are coming. We need to be patient…
Hi Ludo. A question about gear since you are a pump foiling pro. What stab is good for pumping with the Sirus v2 XXL (156cm)? I have a Fluid H v2 M 42 (220cm2) and L 45 (260cm2) already. Would one of them work? Or is a Sirus stab (L 45, 210cm2) the best fit?
@@windaddict Hi! Both stabs are working. But I’m not a big fan of the fluid stabs for pumping honestly. The veloce and the Sirus are better for me: more glide I never tried the Sirus 45 but I’m sure this is a very good one! My favourite I tested so far is the Veloce H 47cm.

Intended use is flat water pumping for long distance and maybe in the future some beach starts to connect small waves near the coast. Thanks for your advice!
@@andresknittel Hi, I like the Kluber 80 very much. I will keep using it and would recommend it for the two activities you mentioned 😉 With the Kluber 95 it is easier to swim on it if you fall far from the beach/dock. It might look less “strange” to use. 80cm is not that much but you don’t need more for pumping! Regarding Performance is the 80 better 👍
Thank you for sharing 🙏

Best Sentence to describe the pump movement: let your knees go up with the foil!...thx for that!
@@Reefbreaker6 Thanks for your message! Indeed, this is what I feel when I pump efficiently 👍🏼
Great demonstration!
@@jeromesurffoil7033 Thank you!
@@Ludo_freefoiler I tried your concepts yesterday, Dec. 15th, while surf foiling. It was very eye-opening! I was using less effort to get more lift and consequently more speed. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
@ Thank you for your feedback!!! I’m very happy it helped 🙌😃
Hi thanks for the video, useful! I am riding the veloce 47h with sirus v2 xl and was considering to buy a stab sirus xl to (maybe) pump longer. The sirus 50 is longer (5cm) than the veloce h47, does it make a big difference in your opinion? Can you reduce the pump frequency (pump maybe longer?) or they are very similar stabs? Thanks
@@juanjixx Hi! Thanks for your message! The Sirus xl and the veloce 47h is currently my favourite setup 😁 based on my personal experience I will not recommend something else. I tested the Sirus 50. You have more lift, for me too much, I prefer the veloce 47H, that I am using a lot. How long can you pump with your current setup?
@ hi I can pump a bit over 1 minute with my setup but my stab is a bit damaged and I was thinking to upgrade to Sirus 45 or 50 for that reason and hope to pump longer? but I know its more the technique than the gear… 😅
@ ok! Well yes the training will make the difference, you are going to pump longer and longer. I understand if you « need » to change your damaged stab you are looking for sth more efficient. The veloce 47h is my favourite. But I never tried the Sirus 45. I think it can be a good one! The Sirus 50 is too big for me, but it’s working fine for long distance. No matter which one you choose, use it a lot to get used to it and optimise your pumps ;)
@ thanks for the advice! I weight more than you (73kg) so I will see if I can test Sirus 45 or 50 at some point and that may help me decide if I really “need” :) a new stab. Thanks for your videos and you may need to come pumping to the Ammersee, you should be able to cross it :) (but don’t fall!) :)
Super ! C'est un tip que je n'avais jamais vu nul part ! Merci encore pour tes vidéos
@ merci ☺️
