Just picked up this 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the street appearance package! As you can see from the decals, it was strictly used as a community service vehicle and never had any prisoner cage or any holes on the vehicle from an antenna or light bar. Right after picking up the vehicle, I immediately shot the video. No wash on the vehicle so you can see exactly how the con...

2017 Ford Explorer Utility Police Overview
I just bought a 2017 F.E. police interceptor. I don't have blue tooth.. We're you able to sync phone or anything?? Do you still have yours? Ty!
it looks like my XLT
how much did you paid?
Just test drove one of these. Dang thing is fast as f***😮
i have the exact same vehicle except it doesnt have the interceptor badge on the back. the spotlight is absolutely legal. its a spot light, not a red or blue light. where it becomes an issue is when you use them on public roadways or in any way to intimidate someone by making them think you are a police officer. just dont use the lights on the road or in public and you're totally fine.
If you have to ask.... the answer is 'yes, it's illegal'...
Haha wig wag wig wag
if you look like a cop, they move over lol.
mine is black with white doors and roof with spotlight and push guard.
i have my front installed, but am struggling with my rear flasher. Soundoff Signal gives me a wiring diagram, and i have the crown vic tail light flasher, could you pleass help? My main question is, the instructions tell me to locate and cut the "break light wire" when i look, there are 2 wires going to each break light.
Came here just to give a thumbs down.
Talked to a cop today about the legality in the state of Utah about a lot of things you covered. Have a 2013 fpis with amber lights front and rear, and I use them because of long-distance driving. Was wondering if they were illegal or not, but they're totally legal as long as you aren't driving aggressive behind people trying to act like a cop.
my interceptor logo was removed before being turned over.
I put mine back on.
Do you need seperate wig wag for rear and front?
Yes
Spotlight anyone can buy and put on any vehicle , the badge not illegal, antenna is not and center caps 😂😂😂lmao that's to funny
I don't know why you didn't walk around and show the whole front and whole rear but thx anyway 😮
With no crown Vic’s who cares anymore
looks good man
Do the doors still have ballistic protection?
Mine does
Talk about the engine man
Are prisoner partition and door coverings and window bars legal
Great question, and the answer is yes, that’s all legal to have in your vehicle
You can’t buy these, used are returned to Ford. Talk about the crown vics
I drive a Ford Police Interceptor every day. They are legal. I've never been stopped by cops claiming that my vehicle is illegal. Mine is debadged and if it's dirty, you can see the faint outline of the police agency that used to own it.
Nice video but why did you go to Round1 without us?
Looks great!
That mf look good af dawg
Where can I get one hard to find ones near me
People with Isuzu Troopers are probably getting pulled over for having "Trooper"on the spare tire cover on the tailgate
It’s best too have amber lights….however if you do have red/blue lights with a siren box. Either you must be a register emergency responder like a volunteer firefighter/EMT or paramedic maybe a sheriff volunteer or what not or unless you are security of some type of public safety personnel that has permits within your state guidelines. However with security you can use red/blues with the siren as long as you’re on property private property
Nice video how many miles for galón you can get on nice police car
The one I just checked out gets 22 mpg average.
You got a lot of dumb people asking stupid questions lol. Google isn't that hard to search.
Can you make a long car review of this car there isn't many reviews of this car on TH-cam
Rest in Peace Officer Andres Vasquez Lasso and we will never forget you and your family members.
Look at all the law breakers RIP to him tho
Where did you buy the light and housing from? I have been trying to find it everywhere
How do you know if they’re not responding to a call, dumb ass?
I think The fusion is called "police responder" Off topid, are you selling any of those light's?
Just picked up 2013 Explorer Interceptor. Its a snowy winter in MN and this thing cuts through it all. VERY happy with it. Even a pair of handcuffs on the left side lamp handle.
How you doing boss I have a question I do on a 2010 Ford crown Vic police I’m trying to hook up same exact what you have the big wig wag Flasher what exactly system do I need to install it? If you could send me the information exactly what do I need to order? Thank you.
Future tutorial?
Thanks bro Im Interested in buying one of these
Thanks for the info bro I bought a 2010 crown Victoria this year. I only use it for security purposes. But it does get old getting pulled over and ask what do you do for living or what do you use the car for. It's not too bad though sometimes you get cool cops.
I drive a 2011 CVPI. I have a spotlight and the number 41 on the roof which the SO didn’t take off and I’ve never gotten pulled over
Love it
Kick ass thanx....get the pushbar
Bro got a ice interceptor and I’m not talking about the snow lol
Don't do this on a public road. Pretty sick though.
Awesome video
As a new jersey emergency vehicle upfitter if you live in Jersey don't listen to any of this. Title 39: 3-54 all the way to 3-60 says it's illegal not only to use lights and sirens on the roadway but it's also illegal to have it mounted on or in your vehicle. "Police interceptor" is cool. It's just the cars name. They can't do nothing about that. Spotlights are cool also. Some where in title 39: 3-50 it talks specifically about spot lights And they are only to be used to shine down on the road way. Breaking any of these laws in Jersey is only supposed to be a ticket but don't be surprised if they try to lock you up on impersonation just because.
Obviously. I never once said go and use lights and siren like a cop and not expect any consequences. That’s just an idiotic thing to do but like I did state in the video, just because they’re installed, does not make it illegal. There can be multiple uses for it whether it’s a pov, security, etc.
@@utilityandy8343 no i agree. but in our state you need a permit for it. Your state is different. I'm just letting the viewers in NJ know that it's a tad different. Everyone should enjoy the look and modularity of safety equipment. I just don't wanna see someone do a Jeremy Dewitte and get introuble. Lol I agree with everything you just said it's just the state of NJ don't. It's a shame. Everyone should have access to adequate safety equipment. But the govt doesn't seem to feel that way.
@@evosolutionsllc.910 For all they know, it could be steady burning clear lighting for off road use. Be secure in your possession's and papers. I f they ask, you do not have to tell them
Thanks for the info. That is probably the second set of cats and the second water pump. Why do the cats on the Taurus and the Explorer, using the same engine, always fail; some at 40,00, or so miles and again at about 140,000 miles. I have flushed the radiator every 30,000 miles with new antifreeze. These are nice looking and riding vehicles, but they are sooo damn needy. Most vehicles never have to replace their cat converts; I haven't on my other vehicles with over 190,000 miles. You must have a lot of dumb cops in your area who don't know the vehicle code and like to harass innocent drivers. It shows the lever of training. Anything that the factory places on the vehicle is legal for anyone to use as factory equipment. These vehicle can be ordered with two different chips. One is standard; the other is for police only. The difference is the basic chip, used for the public, is supposed to stop the gas flow to the engine when the vehicle exceeds 125 Mph. The other chip is for police which either is limited to 155 Mph or has no limit. At any rate, the police testing the vehicles can only get 150 to 155 Mph out of the police unit at the top end. The factory book, tells the police agency purchaser they are required to reprogram the chip back to the civilian mode when the are put up for public auction; but I guess none of the do, as it will cost time and money for them to do so. I can see a liability issue here for those agencies who fail to reprogram the chip and a high-speed crash happens with their unit. Good luck.
Sooo.
Don't buy a used one. They have major issues with water pump issues every 60,000 miles. The first replacement will be handles under the warranty. The catalytic converter will fail under warranty and the next one will be out of your pocket. The PTU will fail every 120,000 miles. Many have failed under warranty. The lights with the projection beams are the worst in the industry. Otherwise, good luck.
True on most of that. I have 2014..FPIS cats went at 120,000 miles covered under extended warranty. Water pump replaced at 130,000 miles. Sone guy on here says coolant flushes at every 50,000 miles saves replacing the waterpump. Headlights suck. Car looks great, AWD works awesome in all weather. PTU fluid changed at 120,000 miles, it was not bad. It had external cooler and sensor to alert you if overheats. 22-28 mpg on Hwy. .
