Hi Bob. We went for the drilling with additional air pump which shows how much water you can expect from the well. For the solar we went for the bigger option of a 1 1/4” pump with 3 solar panels using 72V. (Rather than 1” and 2 panels using 48v). The water tank is 2000 litre, 4 meters high. Cost for drill was 25,000, (37 meters) solar was 25,000. Solar and drill from same company. The tank was from another company and cost 20,000. The first company gave us 2 year guarantee for the solar equipment and if the well runs dry in that time they will drill another for free. The water tank has 5 year warranty but not the frame, they just said we should call them if any problems. We’ve filled 2 ponds and irrigate one rai with fruit trees and a small vegetable garden. We have plenty of water and only have to run the pump for a couple hours in the morning to top up the tank, pond and irrigate the field.

I was going to do the same but after watching various utube channels many people saying that you don't need to elevate the tank, just use a pump to supply water to the house. @bobbychan9783 we had a power cut all day yesterday so I was thankful for the elevated tank. So long you have a large diameter pipe exiting the tank and up to the house, your pressure will be fine. The solar pump fills the tank so we ae fine.

The fermented one really does have a funky smell but the distilled one had a nice musky scent, it reminded me of dad’s aftershave….not old spice but something similar. If I distill some orange peel and add it then I might just be on to something. It needs something sharp to cut through the muskyness.

Correct, when used as a frying pan coating, over time it can be toxic. Using it once or twice in your lifetime because you can’t find any dental floss is not something I would worry about. I bet if you checked your water pipes at home, every connection will have PTFE tape.

@@SimpleLifeThailandsome people bleed from gums when they floss: that toxicity is entering the bloodstream. Better to use a piece of sewing thread, and maybe disinfect it first in rubbing alcohol

@@lolabrini3758 umm, this was meant as a joke. I do have dental floss. I was fixing the sink and I got the idea. But honestly, the toxicity doesn’t worry me, the air, water and processed foods are a lot worse. I’m sure actually using dental floss on the day you can’t find some real stuff won’t kill you 😃
