Look he backed up and didn't hit anyone. My old fld 120 1990 would be right at home. No flip flops. Damn I miss those days.
Not an automatic or flip flop in sight. Trucks parked in their space and not some carpet rider 💩ing off his steps in the fuel island.
These days, two or more cabovers close to each other is a very rare site in the USA. Back in the day when the overall length limit was shorter, cabovers were the king of the roads.
Got to love the old cab over if you ever drive one you will love the turn radius, worked with a old school company back 2008,09. Had a old international probably in the 95, 96 year. But had these old 48, 40 foot trailers. First time I hooked the old cab over up and a 48 foot trailer I was shocked how well I could see around and how sharp of a turn I could make 😀
I can honestly say that I was the dogs bollox on my Jake i learnt to operate a Thwaites tusker digger dumper for 5 years then on a JCB and I actually made my pal cry with fear when I used the backacter to lift the back end as high as I could even used the extra dig to lift her as high as I could ? He refused to ever get in my Jake again and I drove 8 wheel muck wagons and he did the same and cried for fear when I was tipping on uneven ground 😂 we all know the limits of our lorrys and JCBs and in 23 years have never ever had a wagon tip over 😂
Stayed in this truck stop a few times, its crazy to see how that area has grown. Now its a completely urban area. Costs quite a bit just to park there now.
very similar paint job what pete did his trucks. the paint on sunviser is same
what year was this filmed. is it pickering show.
witch truckshow was this
Hello, I really love your video. I grew up in Brid in the seventies and moved to Carnaby in 1979, where my family still live. Watching your video was very nostalgic and joyful. I am a musician and I hope you don’t mind but I have used part of your video to accompany one of my songs. I have put this on TH-cam so you can see it. I really hope you don’t mind but if you do I am very happy to take the video down. I can also credit you but didn’t want to do this until getting your go ahead. I look forward to your reply. Regards Pad th-cam.com/video/xAWoqJNeO3c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JId8lxuGWQ9UGx1n

Duns falls Jamaica
Welcome to Jam Rock.
She had her nickers on😂😂 not swimming costume, but lovely lady.
Mine was an M reg, my first bike. Loved it, at 16 years old I was king of the road.😀
Brings back memories
アメリカのトレーラー軍団の中に1台だけ日本のUDコンドルのUS仕様が有ります。😄👍🚛アメリカのトレーラーは迫力満点で個性豊かです。ドライバーのみなさん大切に乗って欲しいです。
My first bike 1976, loved it.
Great little bikes 😊
That's a big leap to a commando! I'm building a little 60s style Italian road racer using the Cavalcone frame with a 100cc Hodaka Ace dirt bike engine.
Grande terna anni 70 ❤una terna ancora oggi funzionante
Hi John do you still own the malaguti ? Thanks Ian.
Yes I still own it
I had that same bike when I was 16 in 1975!
Hmmm, that looks like the now Acme truck stop in Orlando off of Orange Blossom Trail (441 HWY) just south of the turnpike.
Thanks for the video. Good old days RAT there now. 34 years of driving one of those old trucks. And went to that truck stop.
What a beautiful machine! I own one of a few of these in the USA and hope to bring mine back to life like yours.
That place still the same p00p hole it was back then.... 😅
Old 3d , good diggers with good reach but very heavy and bad on the road
This is now the acme truckstop near Orlando, its still around
Has it changed much since 1990 ?
📺🌎💯🤗🤗🤗❤️👍😊
BACK WHEN THEY HAD REAL TRUCK DRIVERS❗❗❗ THIS NEW BREED IS A JOKE👎
👍
Plenty of COEs even by 1989.
Yes COEs were common through the 1980s & it probably wasn't until the late 1990s when they began to phase out & get replaced by more conventional cabs.
Great, to see, the old,, videose
Wait a minute...what?!! We had a truck stop in Kissimmee FL? Man, the thing I lament the most whenever I come home is parking or the lack thereof. Why wasn't I a driver back then instead of now? Why?!!! What happened to it? We need to reopen it
5:19 Is that 359 Peterbilt Brian "Foxfire" Cummin's?
You know, a lotta folks stop a truck stops. They just naturally think they should. Cause they figure any place a truck driver eats, the food's just got to be good.
It’s funny I stopped at truck mobile canteen stops but always tip the tea out can never drink the crap so I get Costa now dear but cheap if you’re not throwing it away 🤨
@@johneynoneck Missed the joke. 😀 th-cam.com/video/Bi9a_QdLyS0/w-d-xo.html
I was 19-20 years old in 1987-88, driving a local straight truck and hanging out at the truck stops and packing plants in Salinas, admiring all the shiny and lit up independent produce haulers. Got my CDL a few years later, and still driving today.
That Ford LTL 9000 though. Rare trucks these days but a local guy around here does run a dump truck variant lol
Yeap I was rolling back then. 2022 still do. I remember those days well.
Brings back memories. Gave it up 3 weeks ago after 42.5 years. Loved the 80s and 90s. Early 2000s we’re ok. But somewhere, and I really don’t know when, around 2010 it seems. ,I started not liking trucking so much. When I started complaining about other truckers more than I was 4 wheelers, I knew we were in a bad place as far as trucking goes. But dam I sure loved those first 20 years.
What happened was you got tired of driving, so instead of admitting your passion to drive was fading you told yourself the new drivers are ruining it.
Back when there were real truckers. I wish I had been driving around this time. My generation is trash. I was definitely born in the wrong time period.
No sandal wearing fools
Back when these trucks were considered new. This video is as old as me, literally 🙃
Maybe some of those trucks are still running
Not any female drivers here hoods mirrors and bumpers still in tac
All you old drivers are so but hurt most can't operate technology required to do the jobs plus random drug testing took away your drugs lizards are now a Rico charge and lers not forget most of you guys are obesed and disgusting is the reason trucking industry has changed. Stop blaming the new drivers who does are like the old school drivers to were were held to a much higher standard these days making a fraction of what you guys earned plus keeping american stores full fatt ass
Look at That wia64 @ 2:34
My uncle had a single axle cabover brockway leased to Apache transport out of Lawrenceville ga before Tommy and Boyd Carlyle went 100% company
Not a flip flop to be seen.
Love the 359 Peterbilt rolling in.
Kissame Florida my ass that is in Orlando on the orange blossom trail just about 3 miles or less from the Florida turnpike going towards Kissame and away from sand lake Bulverde I have stayed there multiple times they used to have good food there.
Your dead right I video this around 1989 and labeled it incorrect as went to other stops I was living temporarily on Addams road ST cloud
