This car is now in Central Kentucky , still gorgeous , but sadly neglected or abused . No steering , no hood release ( missing its sublime alloy handle labeled "capot" ) and with a battery cable so badly worn that the car might've burst into flames if I hadn't inspected everything carefully before I tried the starter . Still one of the gems of my small collection , and with distinctive front bumper over-riders of a type I've only seen on Facel Cometes of the same vintage . Work proceeds , but Simca 9 parts are shockingly thin on the ground here in The Bluegrass . Odd that it's been cosmetically restored , but with no signs of mechanical attention other than the installation of a later "Flash-Special" engine . With my oily-rag Oceane GC cabrio , it nicely brackets the range of Facel Arondes . I should have it back on the road in time for the 2025 Keeneland Concours . Wish me luck !

Amazing. This car got me laid so many times back in the day. I miss mine. The 85 1/2 was trash this is the gauge set you want. So slow today but just a wonderful memory for me.
