Just finished reading death note. Very good manga. Top 5 for sure.

The ending of Death Note broke me, I felt a massive connection to Light and seeing him cry and even call out for Misa was heartbreaking. Overall, I think Death Note beats Classroom of the Elite, and every other strategy/psychological genre #Onepiss

It didnt change shit. Nothing as good came out After it. We could argue if its mushoku, but its much different genre

It's a very well put together synopsis & analysis on why it wouldn't be anything special today, but I think your missing the point, the reason it was so enlightening or ground breaking, was due to the concept being completely knew; the idea had never been invented or used. If it weren't invented in 2006 & it came out today, it would still be a masterpiece because the concept had never been thought of... Just due to that fact is what makes it exceptional artistic work. I think that's why it was so compelling, & it was extremely well written compared to literally most stories we read today, whether anime or not.

This probably the only popular anime im surprised that didn't have a follow up or a story continuation, could work just jojos where a new protagonist every season, just finished watching it for the 1st time few days ago, simply brilliant 👏 💯

Great video, subscribed 👍 Death note was something that a friend recommended me as an entry way into anime, while i never quite got into the genre as a whole, this show left a real mark on me, absolutely loved it from start to finish Also the live action movies i thought were great too, which is another rarity Actually had a really weird experience while watching the movies with my dad and yoynger brother, all 3 of us experienced the same phenomena where you begin to hear the japanese actors speaking english, as your brain begins autoreading the subtitles and changes the sounds to match, its a crazy weird thing to happen and we had to rewind to check they were infact speaking Japanese the whole time

Death note Is literally the perfect 1st anime to watch imo

Nah this anime is peak. I can't even agree that the romance is rushed And I hate romance in anime and even in this show I don't think it's necessary but I would be lying if I said it wasnt handled better then most anime romances

Also please anyone wondering what to watch pleaseeee watch Heavenly Delusion 🙏 It's a very confusing puzzle with a narrative similar to aot as you find out and understand more and more as the seasons go on and you're left wanting to find out more every season it's just amazing😊

You state that it became clear but don't show any evidence. Is this line coming purely from your own experience? Did you see comments showing this to be the case? This would be a great opportunity to show on screen people liking it and disliking it. 1:13 Episodes often feel self-contained and lack continuity, making it difficult for some viewers to emotionally invest in its story or its characters. A missed opportunity to show that some viewers found it difficult to emotionally invest. Don't appeal to "some viewers" and offer no proof, it will make your claims sound weaker and invite anyone that did emotionally invest to disagree with you. 1:55 This leaves viewers asking, "What's the point of all of this?" Some fans appreciate the chaotic tone... Same as above, which viewers, which fans? 4:12 The humor in Dandadan has polarized its audience. While some find its slapstick comedy and absurd scenarios entertaining, others describe it as childish(?) enforced. Here you even say that others have described as such, why not show their descriptions? This "some" and "others" structure that you use to get several of your points across sets you up for disaster. You need to be clear where these things are coming from and when it is your own experience and the public's experience. This show has been publicly well received, and it would be refreshing to hear a perspective that didn't receive it as well, but the way you present makes it sound like there is a large audience of people that didn't receive it as well. I have not seen much evidence of this being the case, and I would wager that you are using this "some" and "other" sentence structure to hide that this is how you personally experienced the show. The lack of specificity will invite all kinds of disagreements and interjections. Stating something as a matter of fact without evidence can be very dangerous when a majority of people disagree would disagree. Aside from that, I think you had some nice lines in there detailing the strengths and weaknesses of the show, especially around the end. I hope you keep making reviews.

I feel kabaneri of the iron fortress was also forgotten. Most don’t even know that there’s a movie that’s a sequel to the series. They unfortunately release it the same time AOT was at its peak and people would just compare AOT with kabaneri of the iron fortress 😔also fun fact the male and female protagonist VA in kabaneri got together in the anime and IRL

My goal with this review wasn't to invalidate anyone's enjoyment, but to offer my perspective as someone who's been watching anime for nearly two decades and loves to analyze the storytelling. Just say you want a generic nekketsu with a super complex plot just to end with a trash ending as always because it cant with its own complexity. It's crazy how someone could think a mainly introductory season with 12 eps which covers like 1/7 of the manga feels empty. no sh1t.

I think the main point of the ''fan service'' is to show how creepy the villains are. They are trying to steal the private parts of these high school kids for their own, selfish gain. It makes me hate them more than if they had some stupid motive like most anime bad guys. I don't think the show is ''random'', since all the established rules are consistent. I also like how chaotic the show is. It is very realistic in that way. Yeah, they fought with aliens and ghosts, but they still have to go to school. I understand why you wouldn't like it, but maybe the second half of season 1 will change your mind.
