Background info:
I'm back (hopefully I stay back). A pretty simple styled AMV of a really entertaining racing show.
About Initial D:
Unlike his friends, Takumi Fujiwara is not particularly interested in cars, with little to no knowledge about the world of car enthusiasts and street racers. The son of a tofu shop owner, he is tasked to deliver tofu every morning without fail, driving along the mountain of Akina. Thus, conversations regarding cars or driving in general would only remind Takumi of the tiring daily routine forced upon him.
One night, the Akagi Red Suns, an infamous team of street racers, visit the town of Akina to challenge the local mountain pass. Led by their two aces, Ryousuke and Keisuke Takahashi, the Red Suns plan to conquer every racing course in Kanto, establishing themselves as the fastest crew in the region. However, much to their disbelief, one of their aces is overtaken by an old Toyota AE86 during a drive back home from Akina. After the incident, the Takahashi brothers are cautious of a mysterious driver geared with remarkable technique and experience in the local roads-the AE86 of Mount Akina.

Some people don't understand WHY eurobeat goes so well with drifting, it hightens the excitement tenfold if the shots and the music line up/ complement each other. My god, you clearly understand the essence of Initial D, this AMV was genuinely better than some of the main line battles in terms of execution. Great work!

@@shakld doesn't change the fact that revving was the cause of his engine blowing, it doesn't take long to over rev a car which is why most cars have a rev limiter now
@@ShaiTheKitsune but man your stat doesn't logic because takumi already professional drifter and he knows how much his car can push because he use the same engine every time so it doesn't make sense
Why does almost all animes from the 90's look better than more recent animes?
Because it was made with more effort. Detailing is something that had a high standard. These days you will mostly see the same faves. Give a character different hair and they suddenly look exactly like another character.

Hate to sound like "ACKTUALLY... 🤓" but the final stage of Initial D wasn't animated until May of 2014, so technically speaking this is more of a modern anime lol.

Shinji's first real race and he was put up against the final boss of the downhill instantly lol
Yeah people don't realize this is the single most brutal race in the series. Shinji has this track MEMORIZED. This is his Akina, its like if someone had showed up in the same car and crushed Takumi in episode 1. Even with cheating Shinji still got overtaken TWICE on the ONLY course he could have ever won on in the first place. All on a course Takumi doesn't even know. Takumi's 'wings' are him manifesting his self-generated plot armor. There are real drivers that do this, they're just incredibly rare.

I hated the ending .. 1st it was a 1 of a kind racing engine that was modded tf out .. how a regular 86 pushed him to that extent .. I mean plenty drivers lost to takumi 86 but it made no sense in the end
