Shiomo Prince Hotel staff are rude and no simpathy. But the booking did not have OTP and double confirmation, my daughter accidentally booked the hotel booking but no OTP and confirmation. The hotel had no mercy refuse to refund even I have put up so many many request.

Thanks for the comment Archie and welcome to Japan soon :) Unfortunately, Marriott has not made it clear when they plan to open this property. It was supposed to be completed last August so my hope is “anytime now”. It also does not show up on Bonvoy website as “coming soon”. So it’s difficult to say. There are a few other good options in Tokyo, some of them we have reviewed on this channel. Feel free to have a look or request to check out a new property :) Will be happy to do so.

We are glad you liked it :) I would still prefer Aman Kyoto over Ritz Nikko only because there is much more to do in Kyoto. If you were to look at the property alone, Ritz Nikko has everything you would want from a high end Japanese hotel/resort, besides a swimming pool - which they make up for with their onsen.

Upgrade - all the time. Suite Upgrade - not so often. Do reach out to the hotel in advance to let them know that you would like to be up upgraded.

Sadly there is no direct beach access. The property is located on a small cliff but Miyakojima is not that big and there are plenty of beaches around the place. Let us know if you need any suggestions :)

The average price per night for the room is 85,000 yen ($700 USD). The suite room is about 300,000 yen ($2,500 USD). You can also check out the break down at the end of the video at 23:20.

The whole Hakuba area was gorgeous. We stayed there in the first week of November.
May I also recommend to check out Ritz Carlton Nikko. We just stayed there last week and it was superb.

Yah JPblue, almost all the rooms are bigger than average. Suites were humongous. Even though it is a little bit difficult to get to, but would highly recommend it.
