Great exercise! I am a freeCAD newbie, I follow your video step by step, and finished the job. But, when I tried other way , I got a problem. I finish the shape and other things, except the 8 holes. Then I add the 8 holes at last step. I can make 8 holes one by one, but I cannot use the polar pattern feature. even I use datum line / datum plane,... no luck. what s wrong with me? thanks!

Why not use the "involute gear" tool ? It needs a lot less effort and you can do the gear in a fraction of the time.

Hello. Thank you for the video. The first sketch is under constrained with 8 degrees of freedom. If I change the 8 arc endpoints from coincident to the pairs of arcs to be tangent, the sketch becomes fully constrained. Does this matter?

What are you doing and why. With no sound beginners will be mistefied. The cursor is so small that you can hardly follow it and at times it disappears to some other spot. If you fix thus problems your videos will be good.

Das Tutorial ist sehr gut, nur: + Das ist keine Lineare Schiene, sondern eine Aluminium Extrusion bekannt als 2020 + Doch, für eine 2020 Extrusion sind die Maße falsch (2020 heißt 20 x 20mm) und für eine 4040 wo die Maße passen würden ist das Profil falsch.
