Thanks Whomp! 😃 Well, technically the person I play Mario Bros with is a female. Well there is a problem: MAME does not seem to support netplay, so we use FBNeo for netplay. The problem with FBNeo is is that the dipswitch settings don't have any effect. They seem to be broken. As far as we know, this is the US version, because this version has, as default setting, 3 lives + 1 bonus life at 20k 🙂 The one we use in this video is the mario.zip rom Oh that is interesting about the score thing (about the submitting and viewed by a referee/gaming peers on Twin galaxies). Yea we will keep practising! It's fun to do + it's fun to share the achieved goals on TH-cam 😃

Thanks! 😃 The Mario Bros versions we have doesn't allow to have 1 extra bonus live at 10k, the minimum is 20k, or was the 10k a typo? Anyway, we will definitely record with the 3 man each setting! And ok, thanks for the reminder, you are right. Very impressive video's you have btw!

@@hakariclanwars4465 It was a typo. Should be 20k. 🙂 That brings out the skill in each player and helps you to really learn the game better and protect one another. Each player will have a certain job to do until things get out of control and then you both have to go into survival mode till the level is over. Set a goal at first to break a certain combined score (250k?) and then set a goal to keep breaking that. For a 2-player game, breaking a million with default settings is a major goal and will be world class. I may have to come out of retirement at that time.

@@hakariclanwars4465 I just looked and maybe you are on the Japan version? Try the US version. Japan version goes to phase 99 as it has one extra screen early in the game and the US version goes to phase 98.

The reason we did start with more lives at the start is because we felt not ready for it to play with the default settings. But now we feel both ready for it. We indeed are on the Japan version.
