22 Sep 2024 Synth Jam with moog DFAM and Yamaha ck88
As always... For best experience good quality stereo speakers or headphones for the fullest experience ;-)
Todays jam I was feeling a little more up beat BUT I also wanted to explore a bit of a slow change. I layered a piano, saw synth, and pad on the keyboard. Ran the plate reverb up on the three of them to give them a bit of a resonate floating sounds. Through out the song as you can see I adjusted the distortion and ring filter a bit to create some of the grungy sounds. The DFAM was set to one of the presets with some simple modifications where I manually modulated things as well.
I love the moog DFAM... I just might have to get another! And the Yamaha CK88 is such a versatile little digital piano.

Not going to lie. Sounds much better when you have good range on your speakers. Sounds a bit flat on the laptop and phone but if you have good stereo speakers or headphone with a little bass its a much more interesting experience. Today I was working more on learning the sequencer. Love the stereo effects and the drum line on this one.

I know I shared this about a year ago but David has gotten not only better but more confident. Here he is using a mix of a finger pick and strum technique he adapted from one of his favorite music mentors. Riptide is originally sung by Vance Joy and is one of David's favorite songs to sing and play.

I like it! The visualization goes well with the music.
I am still leaning the software for the video. Soon I want to learn how to use the midi input to influence the video. Does not look too hard. I just have not tried it yet.

Is this the 4x2 machine and how do you like the machine so far? Any issues?
It is the 4x2 yes. We have done a few projects so far. I started to have some drifting mid cut with the y axis. Got ahold of support and they sent me a new controller. No issues so far but only done a few cuts. So far I love it!

It was... If I thought I would have had any chance at all with the drone flying level and stable I would have done a hyperlapse flying down the beach but... It was a steady blow and then we would get STRONG gusts of wind! But thats why I take my camera and drone every time we go out!

I just watched one of your videos using the zoom. not going to lie, if the offer a zoom with a larger sensor in the future I will be buying that drone :). I think it could work here...

Interesting... must be a digital thing? I looked at the Mavic 2 zoom and it has an optical zoom. I opted for the pro for the larger sensor.

Yes it was! I actually flew forward for a ways then kept going forward and just raised it up in the air a bit. Then in editing ran the footage backwards :-D

Thanks! We tried to get up and take some pictures a few mornings ago but got to our destination only to find fog that did not burn off. I want to get a little closer to Mt Hood, seen at the distance, before the snow has a chance to melt. I think that will give a nice effect. If it stays clear we might get a sunset added. Tonights was underwhelming...

Acetylene and oxygen. When I get a chance, to hot outside now, I actually use my electric melting furnace now.
