📝 Some Notes 📝
Lubed/Modded for Stew.
Friend came down and let me try his ergonomic keyboard. Dygma raise is a prebuilt ergonomic keyboarding that offers tenting.
I found it pretty decent keyboard especially if you are are into ergonomic keyboards. Personally, I don't really prefer or use split ergo keyboards.
I do like the clean thin form factor and the carrying case that comes with it. The rgb lights going around the keyboard is also pretty neat.
I did not bother lubing the 4 bottom kailh low profile brown switches.

looks amazing, why though? haha. Supposed to be more comfortable?
Sounds good.
Man... I've been saving for a hhkb, then I made the mistake of buying a cheaper keyboard, in this case a Q2 pro from keychron. Is a hhkb that special ? or is it more hype than anything ?
Did you mean the Neo80 (this vid) or no? As for the hhkb, it really comes down to preference. Some people love them and some people don't. A couple reason why some do has a lot to do with the Topre switches, layout, plastic build and quality. The topre switches + plastic construction gives it a unique typing experience and deep sound profile. I personally really enjoy the hhkb but for the most part I find the general public typically prefer mx keyboards. Perhaps it is an acquired taste. Best way to find out is either try one at a keyboard meetup or purchase a used one.
you know this is the first time ive seen a board sound like mine, its not exactly i think yours sounds better but modded my RK84 with wuque studio silent linears, tape mod and foam. mines WAY quieter but its such a similar sound profile. first time ive heard someones board sound like mine! very nice
I'm still waiting on my specimen from R2, I hope it'll finish and ship soon...... Yours sounds pretty nice!! I mean NOICE! :D
what is the cable?
It was a custom made cable I got from Zap Cables who've recently closed back in 2023.
Sounds like heaven
creamy, clacky, he never misses thoughts on the ball-catch disassembly, like what are the disadvantages to a normal board because it seems way easier to open and operate on if you need to
I found the ball-catch mechanism pretty neat. Makes trying different configurations much easier, like trying the different mounting styles or removing/adding the case foam. There aren't any disadvantages I can see compared to a traditional screw design. I was a bit skeptical if the ball-catch was secure but it felt pretty secure, requires quite a bit of force to open so I doubt you'd accidentally open it. The other thing I was unsure about was the rated usage of the ball-catch if you kept opening/closing. I'm sure its fine as the ball-catch is a pretty common hardware mechanism found in things like cabinet doors, wardrobe doors, etc.
Wish i had a mechanical keyboard like this..😢❤
I'd def recommend looking into getting a Neo80. Pretty great board for the price (relatively)
I followed this on a hybrid type s, but for some reason I can't get it to power back on. The led light won't come on. Not sure if I need to try a new ribbon cable.
To help it even sound much better, you might want to look for a cloth to put under pcb like the ones they have on swagkeys website.
I have a professional hybrid type-s produced in 2022, and its REV. is A3 . I dont know how to remove plungers because it seems different from your keyboard of REV. A2. Do you have any experience to share ? Thanks in advance.
Not sure what the differences are between the revisions. But I believe removing the plungers are the same between all hhkb's, you just need to poke them out. It does take a bit of force but they will come out, using something like a marker helps too.
Ihr Mauspad gefällt mir gut, mögen sie mir verraten wo sie das gekauft haben ?
It is the Hilbert Dark Deskmat for the Gmk Oblivion keycaps. They are sold out and not sure if it'll have another run but you were able to buy them from oblotzky if you were in the EU
I got it with jupiter banana switches and it actually sounds so much better in real life than on recordings. I tried to record some typing samples for a friend, but it sound awful, nothing like the actual sound, which is pretty amazing in the stock config imo.
yah, I was actually surprised how well the board sounded stock.
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
Use those pinkies!!!!
Bro
aswome keyboard
The sound made me buss
I might do this, just to improve the spacebar lolol. It's the most annoying thing when it gets all rattly
what are the switches?
Bro I don't know why. But dobra always sounds really bad to me. This one went from absolutely atrocious to pretty acceptable. But it just sounds very mushy to me. I do wonder how they feel. I imagine like more premium membrane's that sorta function like regular mechanical switches.
Yah that is a valid take. It's all preference at the end of the day. Some people hate the sound and feel of topre and some love them. Best way to find out for yourself is to try one out. I personally really enjoy the sound and feel of Topre switches. Also the tactility isn't comparable to any mx tactile switch.
They feel better than all the other switches, that's how they feel.
@skavcic to each their own bud I don't like tactile switches. And I certainly don't like the sound I'm hearing from these boards. I'll stick with my black ink v2's

Appreciate the oem profile sound test. I wish there was more high quality oem
The video is clear and the sound is great! I will come visit often!! Please continue to make good videos!!
Sunshine sounds amazing. I don't think i have ever head a keyboard that sounds like that. Really unique, bright but still smooth. Im building my first keyboard and im going for bit more creamy/thocky but if i ever build more, this is the sound im going for after my first one.
sounds like foam
foamless sound test pls
Unfortunately I cannot. The build was for a friend to give to his gf so I don't have it anymore. I would have liked to do a foamless sound test but was under a time crunch because I wanted to give it to em before Christmas.
it sounds like lego
clack clack :)
maybe more foam? it sounds kinda loud and plasticky
its already filled with all possible foam you can have on a board so I don't think it needs more foam. I actually think you'd want to remove all the foam if you want a less plasticky sound. its loud because the audio is increased during editing or you would barely hear the keyboard.
THERES A ZAKU II SWITCH???
oh its the *exact* color id want too
@@Coolio_Ash yeeee, its a long pole tactile switch
bro is more underrated than anybody else on youtube
Literally underrated 🔥 🔥
Mic on desk, must disregard
Ya valid. Ideally, I'd want to have the mic on a stand not connected to the table to prevent any sort of vibration thud to be picked up. Unfortunately I never got around to getting a mic stand and have been putting the mic on that desk shelf. The desk shelf does have rubber feet and the microphone is also on some shelf liner to help reduce the typing vibration/thud, so that helps a bit. I have tested the the mic when it is on a stool off the desk to see how much of a difference my current setup is in comparison. And the sound is actually pretty similar. Only difference with my current setup is the slight desk thud you hear if you increase the volume and/or your speakers are very bass heavy but even then the difference is negligible.

Sounds pretty decent :)

hii what was the software used to change the gif on screen?
Its meletrix's phone app which is called "pocket wuque"
Really love matcha color. Can I ask how much did you pay for this keyboard?
Dude this is the best keyboard I've ever heard! How much did the build cost?
About $200-300 USD @darkproject_eu
A friend built it so I'm not sure on the exact price. The build parts are in the description and based off those it seems like it'd come out to approx 350usd before shipping/taxes. If i recall he also ordered the zoom75 kit in pre-order which would be cheaper than buying in stock, so he probably payed a bit less
such a clean color
nice keycaps
