Thank you for the in-depth explanation of the remotes capabilities and the lights features which was far more detail and comprehensive than the inept, dare we call it, user ‘guide’ that came with the light. I read the ‘guide’ 3x and was still unclear of the exactitude of the lights features and how to set and utilize. Love the 24/7 ‘set it and forget it’ program for my low tech tank which, other than possibly having to reset the time of day, runs itself - perfect when going on vacation. Great video.

Hey Andrew, recently I lost a large colony of blue green shrimp. Everything was fine. There was over 100 and they started dying one by one. Do you think it’s cause I didn’t have a lid on it and it was in the kitchen?

Bacopa seems to be the only plant I can grow successfully. Everything else wilts and dies. Ive tried like 10 different species of "beginner" plants and same outcome. I tried gravel, I tried sand, i tried root tabs and fertilizers. The only thing j havent tried yet is soil. That will be ny next step after my current setup with aqua soil finishes dying.

I tried my AquaClear 50. But the water got the silicone loose overtime 😂 Will be looking for waterfall pond filters. I have a Top Fin Sponge Filter for it atm

I think the focus on price is misplaced -- and have learned that the hard way (i.e., lots of dead fish along the way). A cheap fish that arrives dead isn't cheap. A cheap fish that arrives sick will be expensive in both money and time to treat. To me, a more expensive fish that arrives healthy and thrives is absolutely worth the extra cost. Dan's Fish sets the standard. Each fish is individually bagged and almost always healthy and ready to thrive in your aquarium. And their customer service is fantastic.

I attach my horn worth to suction cups and have a wave maker blowing into it. It's always bright green

Why not take it out into a 5-gallon bucket of fresh water and Shake It Out There

I bet those panels would make good aquarium dividers too. Easy to drain down a bit and add a dab of silicone to keep it in place.

I'm in the process of resetting my 75. Currently the plan is ivanacara bimaculata juvies, nannacara anomala 2 pairs, manacapuru angelfish pair, L519 plecos, L397 plecos, krobia xinguensis pair and laetacara curviceps pair. Overstocked I know but that stocking is temporary and will only be this stocked for about a year possibly 2. Once we buy a house and I can set up a full fish room again they'll be going into a 6 or 8ft tank 😊.

I feel like that could be a maintenance thing when you do water changes, have the bucket of water there, grab the clump of hornwort, and shake it in the bucket like you would a media bag.

Or you can put it in a bucket of dechlorinated water and then shake it and put it back in the tank, pour the water out in the yard for the nutrients

9:45 Corydoras are a schooling fish, so its recommended that you keep at least 6 minimum of each type, and in my experience, they started showing their best behaviors in groups of 8 or more, they can be as small as one inch, so there are plenty of options for smaller tanks too!

Thank you helping me with some ideas for my 75, I’m debating on going black water as well but definitely want some angels.
