Francisco Lindor Defensive Highlights 2017 (Cleveland Indians)
Not the GG winner this year but still a decent performance by the young shortstop.

Kevin Kiermaier Defensive Highlights 2017 (Tampa Bay Rays)
มุมมอง 13K7 ปีที่แล้ว
The 2016 gold glove winner had a shortened season but still managed to make some great plays. Hopefully, 2018 will be kind to Kiermaier so we can if he can contend for the GG again.
Anthony Rendon Defensive Highlights 2017 (Washington Nationals)
มุมมอง 13K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Rendon had a fantastic year at 3B defensively. Rendon finished 1st in WAR, UZR, UZR/150, ErrR and RngR for 3B. Rendon finished 3rd out of any position for UZR and finished 2nd behind Andrelton Simmons for defensive WAR at any position.
Jackie Bradley Jr. Defensive Highlights 2017 (Boston Red Sox)
มุมมอง 34K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Bradley Jr. finished in 7th for defensive WAR out of CF's. Jackie also had what will probably be the catch of the year which occured when he robbed Judge of a home run in deep center at Fenway.
Kyle Schwarber Defensive Highlights 2017 (Chicago Cubs)
มุมมอง 5K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Human Thumb makes plays.
Mookie Betts Defensive Highlights 2017 (Boston Red Sox)
มุมมอง 67K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Mookie is ranked the best defender in the MLB by UZR (21.1 to 15.6 lead over Andrelton Simmons). Mookie is also first in the majors in UZR/150, 1st in RngR, 5th in defensive WAR and 2nd in ARM. All stats calculated by Fangraphs.
Billy Hamilton Stealing Highlights 2017 (Cincinnati Reds)
มุมมอง 6K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Unfortunately not all of them but a good portion. I kept replays to a minimum. Just Billy vs the catcher.
Javier Baez Defensive Highlights 2017 (Chicago Cubs)
มุมมอง 88K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Baez played great defense this year for the Cubs. It's a shame that he won't win a gold glove.
Matt Chapman Defensive Highlights 2017 (Oakland Athletics)
มุมมอง 39K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Matt Chapman managed 20 DRS saved in only 79 games. Chapman will challenge Arenado and Machado for the best defensive 3B in baseball if he keeps it up over a full season. Clips range from 6/15 to 9/26.
Byron Buxton Defensive Highlights 2017 (Minnesota Twins)
มุมมอง 41K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Byron Buxton is ranked as the #1 defensive fielder for Statcast in 2017. Buxton lead the league in Outs Above Average (OAA) by 6 full points and Buxton lead the third place candidate by 9 full points. More on OAA here: m.mlb.com/news/article/253726830/byron-buxton-leads-statcast-outs-above-average/
Andrelton Simmons Defensive Highlights 2017 (LAA)
มุมมอง 136K7 ปีที่แล้ว
The season that saw Andrelton save 32 defensive runs. Highlights from opening day to September 24th.
Dude made me a fan of the sport! Effortless, humble & damn exciting to watch!
This guy has horrible routes to the ball. There was no reason for him to have to jump at 0:52. That’s should have been a routine play
Swear to god when the ball was in play he spent more time airborne then actually on the ground
0:21 Love how the 3rd baseman takes 1 Step and just realizes "ah simba's got it" Dude was a god at defense, you were not getting a ball past him.
imagine an outfield with Buxton, Hunter, and Ichiro!
0:08
Every time I think of how physically useless humans are compared to other animals, I think of Mookie and that thought is gone.
whos watching this three years later
sup
My favorite player
Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger are the best to outfielders in the game go Dodgers
Chingon Rendon
My MLB crush! <3
What a beast
3:34 Look at that throw. No need for the first baseman to stretch out, that's for sure.
1:25 "Here comes the relay throw from Andrelton Simmons... A GOOD one, and Alonso is GUNNED down!"
1:57 “he leaps and...” “CAUGHT BY KIERMAIER!!”
Go twins
Now you listen here Braves fan, if you think you’re silly little subliminal recruiting is going to work on Matt Chapman 🤬
Lol 90% of these were routine by a better CFer lol Even that 3rd one, he litterally stopped running, then shimmied for like 10 feet and then jumped for the catch. So, better CFers like Pillar and JBJ get shunned for showboating, but not Kiermaier... Kiermaier is easily the most average, overrated CFer in the league (defensively). I mean, I would rather have Prince Fielder playing CF then Kiermaier... Lol
Jonathan Martin sure buddy
Jonathan Martin he is a gold Glover buddy
Jonathan Martin and look at the diving and jumping plays he made
@@jaxsonrichter7772 yeah he did get a gold glove. Two actually. Did he deserve them? Not by a long shot! Was he deserving of being a finalist? Yes, he was!
Jonathan Martin lol just look at the plays they are diving and jumping plays. He definitely deserved the gold glove though.
Worst mistake for the Atlanta Braves, Is when they traded off SS Simmons to the Angles, I think.?
That’s my cousin
Make 2018 vids
you gotta love the guys that sacrifice their bodies to make a play even though it heightens the chances of injury and shortening their career
REDSOX have been my favorite team ever since I was 4 and Mookie has been my favorite player ever since he came in the league
This guy is unbelievable
I’m only here because i bought his wilson glove ok good day
2:42 Holy cow Mookie just hugged me!
second best red sox right fielder ever behind dwight evans
But who are the 12 idiots who don´t like this?
Kiermaier is stunningly good in center, so good, his lousy bat almost doesn't matter.
jamesd2128 that’s my cousin
I’m a angels fan but I’m confused that why Atlanta will trade him because if I’m braves manager I would never ever trade simba.
It’s a miracle he is still in the league
Best defensive CF since Ken Griffey Jr.
Ummm Andruw Jones?????

You can't say there's anyone better than him defensively.
Mookie Betts > NYY
This guy should have won two gloves gold gloves already in his career he is one hell of a Fielder
Golden glover. Insane ability.
People say he plays a better 3B than Arenado and I say that's BS. He's really good but Nolan has been doing this for 5 years (with 5 Gold Gloves to match), aaaaaaand just happens to be just as good with the bat too.
Azian2DaMax Chapman hasn't even played a full season and is already blowing everyone else out of the water in defensive metrics. He's on pace to have 12.1 career WAR at the end of this season; only players in history with a higher career war in their first two seasons are Kris Bryant, Frank Robinson, Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, and Paul Waner (remember that Chapman will have only played a little over 1.5 seasons at the end of 2018). Pujols and Chapman had the same WAR at this point in their careers. Arenado is great, but c'mon.
Arenado plays at Coors and the home/away splits are pretty telling.
I really, really want a 2018 defensive highlights video for Chapman. It's absolutely unreal watching this kid. When Donaldson left the team I thought I'd never get over it. But watching Chapman's defense alone has almost made me forget about Donaldson. And Chapman's offense is coming around too. He's been on fire at the plate the last month or so. Man, this kid has such a bright future. Since last year I've been saying he's my favorite player, and now he's their best player. Top 10 in WAR this season along the likes of Betts, Trout, Nola, Scherzer, Jose Ramirez, etc. If he can hit consistently like he has been the last ~month+, he'll be a top 10 player in the MLB during his prime. The A's better not trade him. I haven't watched a lot of Arenado's defense so I can't comment. But Chapman is even better than Donaldson on defense, and Donaldson was amazing defensively for us. Almost every game Chapman makes a gold glove caliber defensive play. I'm not even exaggerating on that. I was just at the game Friday night and he made an unbelievable sliding catch in LEFT FIELD foul territory near the bullpen mound. He had to run full speed and slide while the ball was over him from behind. Can't wait for that 2018 highlight video. Where can I find the defensive metric stats for individual players? Really curious where Chapman lies -- he has to be near the top. Between him and Laureano, the A's have got quite the defensive future.
John Kempel Chapman is the top spot in almost everything except defensive rating or something I'm pretty sure. Andrelton Simmons leads the league in that and Chapman is a close second. Chapman finished the 2018 season with the highest WAR of any infielder if I'm not mistaken.
John Kempel Fangraphs has the UZR stat, and a leaderboard to go with it.
4:39 that turn is just so smooth
Simmons is thick af
Got absolutely robbed of a Gold Glove in ‘17. Shameful.
Arrogant... overrated
Wouldn't baseball be wonderful with more small ball and balls put into play?
lt's very good...!
