Kuretake Zig Ultra Fine Brush Pen Set Review
Legal ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looking cool, Richard. Interested to see if you decide to color it or not. :) Have a great week!
I’m sorry you went through that, Richard. Hopefully calmer and more tranquil days are ahead dude.
is the ultra fine refillable? or openable?
Looking forward to the Viking stuff!!
Apologies for the sound - -no idea what sets that off
Love them! That Wolverine is fire! :)
Doc doom
I'm back hahaa
Swirls techniques
I opened a package a few minutes ago when I couldn't sleep to discover it is my order of "Coven: A Book of 100 Witches. I will check it out later this morning after I fully wake up. I am happy to have it.
That's great!!!
Love this one, Richard!
Thanks so much!
Fantastic live drawing of The Joker! 🎨😈 I’m amazed by how you capture his character and expression in real-time. It’s so cool to see the process and techniques you use. Thanks for the entertaining and inspiring session-can't wait to see the finished piece! 👏🃏
Thanks so much! You can see it here: www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=2049666
Do you teach how to draw by any chance? Or recommend someone how does ?
Online? Proko likely has the most popular channel for that. I used to teach, but haven't for years
Sorry to miss the live.... but always happy to watch back. :) Love the book recommendations at the start of each episode. One day I'll pull the trigger and start grabbing some of them. lol ;)
Life is always full of things, so missing a stream you can watch later isn't a cause for bother. I've had a few people say there sought out some books. If you feel free to post them and tag me on social media. Love spreading the good stuff around!
its a pleasure watching you do you thing!
@@Drestudios thanks so much
Watching, Brother.
Much appreciated ❤
From one Artist to another, BRAVO! I love your visual construction of Galactus!
Thanks so much!
Great stuff Richard. I really enjoyed watching this stream. It's super relaxing and fun to watch you paint Batman. What kind of tape do you use to adhere the paper to the board? Also, I've been doing watercolour recently. Is gouache easier to work with? Just curious.
That's just dollar store green painters' tape. Gouache is essentially watercolour with opaque filler - -it allows for covering up easily
@@RichardPace Thanks Richard.
Casey Parsons let me mess around with soluble charcoal in like an oil paint tube. Ever try that stuff? It was cool to use. Reactivates when you go back in with a wet brush... and leaves a bit of a gritty texture when dry.
I bought some when I was showing my pal Tony Moy Aboveground Art Supplies in Toronto last year. I've been meaning to try it out, but it's timing just never worked out. Might be a great idea for a short video series to show off how inept I am when picking up something new :)
Den was always a great addition to any Heavy Metal magazine I managed to nab. Corben is one of my faves.
Mine too - -I have a few of the older collections, but am going to get every one of the new ones. Such great production
Nice black and white art piece. Beautiful.
Thanks so much!
I loved this one. Amazing art you have, I am glad that I discovered your Channel here.:) Keep pushing forward.
Thanks so much!!
Masterful. Subscribed. Also fairly intrigued by the Savage Swords of Betty and Veronica 😁
😻
Great stream Richard. Some insightful stuff near the end. 🙌🏼
@@stacydelong3025 thanks so much
The fude hard pen is the only implement I have ever enjoyed inking with. To me it feels just like pencil, but with more variation and a thinner minimum.
This is looking so good, Richard! Looking forward to Ellie!
thanks so much
The mind set, Bless comic book artists
Thank you for sharing what tools you prefer to use.
My pleasure
I've been meaning to grab some of the Pitt Matte pencils, at the shop, but haven't done so yet. But, after watching this video, I'll own some before the end of the week. lol ;)
Let me know how you like them!
That's amazing Richard!!!
Thanks so much
If you need tech/editing help lemme know.
I may take you up on that -- I have had a local friend offer to help, so that's just a scheduling thing
I’ve mentioned this before but I think an interesting subject to explore would be tips or your process in establishing likenesses since you are so good at that. Thanks!
Likeness is a process, but largely a simple one - -when i can I drop a grid over the reference and have one on (or under) the paper I'm drawing on. Beyond that, it's really just practice. It is time consuming all the checking and re-checking, so I expect it may be a boring video subject unless heavily edited and sped up
Looks great
Thanks so much ❤
Mine is always drying up even though i store it how its supposed to, do you have the same problem
I've had similar experiences with loaded paint bristle pens -- Posca white paint brushes in particular - -Ijust think it's currently a design problem that needs a great deal more work to solve
These are cool short and informative videos.
Thanks so much!
We sell Faber Castell pens, at the shop, but I've not noticed the FH. Now I've gotta inquire about bringing it in. :) Out of curiosity, do either of them pool ink if you use pressure too long?
The FH may be new to the market - -never saw them before last month, but were an immediate add to the kit. I haven't tried forcing more ink by pressing the tip more - -not something I've felt the need to need to try - I have my kuretake sable brush pen and actual brushes and ink on hand if I want more ink.
@@RichardPace Yeah, I was curious about the potential for "accidental" pooling.
@@jimdickson9816 Ah! None of that so far
Recycle Staples ?
I don't think you can
Sound like you are in a can/ basement
I'll be trying a headset/mike on the next stream
Nice, I grew up with big John Buscema and Barry Windsor- Smith Doing Savage Sword and the monthly back in the 70's and 80's.
Loved those comics!
Amazing how it brings out all the color. Wonderful wonderful piece! love it.
Thanks so much!
I love how the varnish makes the colors pop
It's a little like a magic trick. I love it
Beautiful finish. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I may do a second coat after 24 hours, but that's optional.
Great video as always! I love the McGinnis book as well. What a master!
Thanks so much - -and He's one of the greatest
Well now we've come full circle!
Great review. I have yet to find a brush pen that comes close to a traditional brush. I like working fast as well.

Obrigado por seu trabalho com o gigante de bronze Conan
Thanks you so much!
O senhor desenha muito bem
Thank you!
More of these Richard. (Landscape though.)
Thanks! Opted to use my phone for this and just didn't think landscape until after I was uploading. Next time for certain.
