Taking you on my journey of Tesla ownership. Today is the day! Delivery day! It wasn’t as smooth as I would have liked, but happy with the car and overall experience.

I remember my pick up day (March-same location) and it was almost too good to be true. I do wish they had those cute signs in the window with our names on it but the actual delivery day pick up was seamless. It's funny because I had a trade in so I had to park my vehicle and give the attendant my keys and that was the extent of my time there.
lol the email you got said pick up will be at 6836 building. Excitement brain got you confused! 😂

How do you like your model y? Does it have enough get up and go from take off? I’m torn between the model 3 and model y. I want the space, but don’t want to be slow.
Love it!! Lots of power, enough to make me nauseous after a few launches. Definitely not slow.

The more of these videos I see the more I want to just buy a Tesla from my phone. Can you imagine just being on your couch and just ordering a Tesla from the app?? This video really inspired me. Subscribed.

I'm just baffled how Tesla really changed the whole car buying experience. The guy spoke with no one, no one greeted him with the usual fake smiles, etc. He just walked in with his phone, paid his due and got his nice car delivered contactless. What an experience!!!
How could anyone suffer through the traditional dealership experience anymore?! This is the way.
I just picked up my Y today at the same location you filmed this! Mine was across the street in front of the building they told you (and me ) not to go into. D-day, as I called this day for some time now went as flawlessly as I found the car. I've already gave her a name and it is just as beautiful as the car. Mine was the midnight grey, but I had to go with the all black interior due to my eye sensitivity to reflected light. I have found that both the Y and the 3 are almost fishbowls when it comes to sunlight...
Tint is a must, especially here in TX!

Thanks for posting. I have an MYLR delivery estimate for mid September pretty excited😊. Did you notice if you have Hardware4? Or confirm about the 100 mile cosmetic warranty?
You prolly already have your MY but yes hardware 4! And FSD is legit!!

So, did they leave the key cards in an unlocked car? How did you get into it?
Yep! It's locked until you get everything setup in the app. Once you stand next to it with the app open, the doors unlock. Then you setup your key. I think the keys are all the same and unpaired until you set it up fit the first time.
Very informative. Best I have seen for delivery day explanation. I am taking delivery of my '23 MYLR, in Austin, on Aug 30th. Definitely feel better informed and prepared.

So funny, I'm also picking up a 2023 Model Y Dark Gray today at the exact same location. It's across the street, at the Merrill Lynch building. There should be a podium out front to gather your information and get the keys for you and help you get situated.

You are far too easy going - I would be not happy with the grease mark on the visor - the car should be in perfect condition- mechanically and cosmetic wise .
Same thing my wife said! It wiped off really quickly with a baby wipe. If it was mucked up permanently I would definitely be submitting a service item!

So far I haven't put it on...we'll see how long I can make it!
@@TeslaGinga Good luck. I'm in Oklahoma, with no front plates and no annual inspections, keeps my windshield completely empty of any stickers. :)

picked my Y up here abt 1.5 months ago. Same exact confusion. They really need to put a sign up for people, doesnt seem that hard to do right? haha
For real! They need a customer experience designer to map out all the touch points and make sure each point is using consistent messaging.

Totally different experience than my 2023 MSP or the previous 2021 MSP. Mine was in a nice glass room with a congratulations sign and they met me at the door, sat in the car while I inspected it and helped with any questions. The way you were treated would piss me off.

In my car all I have to do is move the vents myself making it much easier and more convenient
Probably true, but these vents have a huge range of motion. Significantly more than my Ram 1500 or Honda Odyssey.

When did you originally order your car/what was the wait time for delivery?
I initially submitted a custom order and waited about a week for a delivery window. I got impatient and instead switched my order to an "inventory" unit. From there it was about 3 weeks to get a delivery date, which was 1 week later. The original order was going to be 2-4 months. The inventory order was about 4 weeks.
@@TeslaGingaThanks for answering the commenter questions. I’ve been wanting this information for awhile. I want a model y, but I will not be able to order mine until sometime in 2025 when we return back to the states. I’m sure a lot will be changed in the next two yrs. Great video..
